Today we’d like to introduce you to Kate Englebrecht
Hi Kate, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
In 2005 I decided I needed a change. I was a senior in college, a language major, and I didn’t want to follow that path anymore.
I quit my job sold my car and my business took off pretty quickly after that
I helped mainly business owners and families in the Highlands neighborhood of north Denver with organizing and other random tasks.
In 2014 I started hiring a team and to date I’ve employed 32 women. I’m now the only master level KonMari consultant in Denver.
I have a team of 3 people now and they help me with bigger jobs like packing and unpacking.
Now I’m exclusively working with moms and home organization. I love helping them have less to manage so that they can have less stress and more time for themselves and time with their families.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s had its ups and downs. Covid definitely slowed things down. Being self employed is unmatched, but you do have to have a very high level of trust that the clients will show up, and then when there is a lull, you have to trust that you need the break. It’s definitely
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a home organizer with 19 years experience.
I’m a master KonMari consultant.
I’m most proud of helping my clients find joy in their living space while having less.
I think what sets me apart is I have a very intuitive sense for what each of my clients need from me. Some like for me to lead, sometimes they want to lead, but there’s always a sigh of relief and a sense of accomplishment when we are finished.
At the end of the day, being comfortable in your living space and being inspired to face each day on a positive note is a good feeling.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Introvert/extrovert I wasn’t so good in big groups but I was friends with everyone and then I could go home and be by myself and paint or read.
