Exploring Life & Business with Chris Buckner of Buck’s Handyworks

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Chris Buckner.

Chris Buckner

Hi Chris, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always loved working with my hands. I have always dreamed of having my own business. The opportunity presented itself, and I made the jump. Scared but optimistic I could make it work. I felt that in the community, there wasn’t a large handyman presence. There were plenty of large contracting businesses, but there was nothing for the simple, every day jobs most homeowners needed help with.

I found my niche!! I love each and every one of my clients! Being allowed into someone’s home and to be trusted in their home is an honor. I know that I have gotten to where I am today because of the support from my family, friends, and clients, who all believe in me. I think that, best of all, I will get to work with my oldest son. He is learning a trade. Being able to teach a skill to my children is priceless.

Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
The journey so far has been great! Every day is different! Some days go as they should, and some days, I think about throwing in the towel. But that is life with any job. I see the hard times as learning opportunities.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about Buck’s Handyworks?
Buck’s Handyworks LLC is a small handyman company in Littleton, Colorado. There is not one field that we specialize in. General home repair and maintenance are where we hang out the hat. We provide a large variety of services, from light bulb replacement to bathroom remodels. We’ve called Littleton our home since the beginning.

I truly love what I do for a living, and I believe that is what I’m known for. The most important thing to my brand is where I came from. The Phoenix in my logo has great meaning to me. It symbolizes new beginnings, a second chance to get things right, and a motivation to continue being the best person I can be.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
A favorite childhood memory of mine would be family lake days.

We would spend sun up to sundown being yanked around the lake on a tube! Dad is trying his best to skip his children across the water like rocks, eating BBQ and laying on the beach. Not a care in the world back then.
