Today we’d like to introduce you to Hassan Noorani
Hi Hassan, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
In the summer of 1998, my parents and I moved from Mumbai, India, to the United States with a few belongings and an optimistic mindset. It was a momentous occasion. I was ecstatic and couldn’t wait to experience life in the US. Growing up, I was fascinated by American movies and sports. I vividly remember watching the Chicago Bulls dominate from 1996 to 1998, which made our move to the Chicago suburbs even more exciting. My brother was born a year after we arrived.
My father possessed a strong business acumen and an exceptional work ethic. He was determined to support his family, doing whatever it took. A self-starter, he had been providing for his family from a very early age. He worked various odd jobs and night shifts before becoming a chauffeur for a company. His relentless efforts eventually led him to start his own limousine business. As I was preparing to enter high school, I wasn’t fully aware of his demanding schedule. However, I cherished the increased time he spent at home, helping me with schoolwork and tutoring. Growing up, I learned the importance of time management and prioritization.
I occasionally helped out with his business, but after moving to Chicago for college, my involvement waned. After graduating, I sometimes assisted to earn extra cash, but soon, my focus shifted to my full-time job. Despite this, I always harbored a desire to start something of my own, wanting full ownership and responsibility. Observing the operations of my father’s business, I understood the challenges and rewards of entrepreneurship.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, my job transitioned to being 100% remote. My girlfriend and I decided it was the perfect time to move out of Chicago, something we had always wanted. We considered Denver and San Diego, ultimately choosing Denver in 2022. It turned out to be one of the best decisions of our lives. We fell in love with Colorado, and our quality of life significantly improved. The sunny weather uplifted our spirits.
In 2023, I started a new job but couldn’t shake off the urge to build something of my own. Recognizing the demand in Denver’s beautiful and dynamic environment, I committed to starting a transportation business. This led to the inception of Brew High Transport, and now, a year since its official establishment, we continue to explore and thrive in this exciting venture.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Every new venture comes with its set of obstacles, and Brew High Transport is no exception. A year into the business, I’ve encountered several challenges that have required going back to the basics. These include cold calling hotels, running effective ad campaigns, and deeply understanding customer needs.
One of the significant challenges has been connecting with clients who truly appreciate the unique experiences that Colorado has to offer, from exploring the mountains to enjoying the vibrant events scene. Finding and establishing these connections is both fulfilling and demanding, as it requires a nuanced approach to cater to diverse preferences and ensure we meet their expectations.
Despite these hurdles, each challenge presents an opportunity for growth and improvement, and I am committed to navigating these complexities to build a successful and client-focused transportation service.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
What has worked best for me is face-to-face interaction with hotel managers, concierges, and transportation operators. Immersing myself in their roles and understanding their operations has been essential. By directly engaging with them, I gain insight into their challenges and can offer valuable solutions that address their specific needs.
One area I’ve struggled with is setting clear, manageable goals. For example, starting with a list of 10 potential contacts or entities you’d like to connect with can help. Ensure these contacts align with your business plan and culture, as not every interaction will target your ideal market. I’m still refining the market I want to reach, and this focus will likely evolve over time.
Leverage Existing Connections: Begin by tapping into your current network. Often, your existing contacts can introduce you to potential mentors or valuable connections. Don’t hesitate to ask for recommendations from colleagues, friends, or industry peers. I’ve also reached out to competitors to better understand their operations. Sometimes, you don’t have to reinvent the wheel—learning from others can provide valuable insights.
Attend Industry Events: Participate in industry conferences, workshops, and networking events. These opportunities allow you to meet professionals in your field and identify potential mentors. Engaging in relevant events helps you stay informed and build meaningful connections. For instance, I spoke extensively with an account manager from a scheduling software I integrated, gaining insights into best practices and next steps. Keeping an open door for new information is crucial.
