Hidden Gems: Meet Hannah Domanski of Tonic & Timber

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Domanski.

Hi Hannah, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey to Tonic & Timber really started to grow with a long term love for organizing events, and being apart of gatherings with a good drink in hand. For over a decade, I’ve worked in healthcare — a career I’m still dedicated to, but I’ve always carried this dream of starting my own business. I’ve always been the person who loves organizing parties, creating memorable experiences, and enjoying delicious cocktails with friends and family.

Launching Tonic & Timber was my way of blending those passions into something meaningful. I wanted to create a service that’s more than just a bar, it’s about offering a unique experience that make events feel special, whether that’s a wedding, corporate party, intimate gathering and more.

What started as a dream has turned into a business that allows me to bring joy, creativity, and connection to people’s biggest moments, and that’s what excites me most about this business.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not a smooth road! Starting a business while still working full-time in healthcare has been one of the biggest challenges. Healthcare is already a demanding field, and layering entrepreneurship on top of that means long days, late nights, and a lot of sacrifice.

Another struggle has been the patience it takes to build something from the ground up. There are days where it feels like you’re pouring your heart, time, and resources into the business but not seeing results right away, and that can be discouraging.

But I’ve come to realize that those struggles are part of the journey. They’ve taught me perseverance, creativity, and the importance of celebrating progress, even when it’s small. Every challenge has pushed me closer to creating the business I dreamed of, and that’s what keeps me going.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Tonic & Timber?
Tonic & Timber is based here in Colorado and we offer tap trailer rental services and professional bartending for weddings, corporate events, and private gatherings of all kinds. Our tap trailer allows us to serve nearly anything cold on tap: beer, wine, cocktails, mocktails, coffee, kombucha — you name it, we can tap it. This makes service faster, keeps lines short, and adds a fun, elevated experience for guests.

What sets us apart is the flexibility we provide. Many bar services are either limited or very one-size-fits-all. I wanted Tonic & Timber to feel different — to offer a polished, luxury experience without losing the personal touch. We’re able to customize beverages for each event, so no two menus are the same.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud that Tonic & Timber happily celebrates people and events from any and every walk of life. I want readers to know that when you book us we not only supporting you, but that you’re getting an experience designed around your event, your guests, and your vision.

What does success mean to you?
For me, success isn’t just about numbers or how quickly the business grows. Success is about impact. It’s when a couple tells me their guests are still talking about the cocktails from their wedding weeks later. It’s when someone shares that our mobile bar made their event feel unique, seamless, and stress-free.

On a personal level, success also means proving to myself that I can step out of a stable healthcare career and build something from my own vision. It’s about the courage to keep going even when the road feels slow or difficult. If I can bring joy to others while creating a business that reflects my passion for celebrations and connection, then I consider that success.
