Hidden Gems: Meet Lyndsi Bieging of Babyquip

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lyndsi Bieging.

Hi Lyndsi, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have always been an active, athletic, and very self-motivated person and growing up I developed a mind for entrepreneurial endeavors. After graduating with a Marketing and Entrepreneurship degree from Colorado State University, I worked in the corporate service industry for several years. It was time to try something more in line with what I enjoyed doing: triathlon. I ventured out on my own as a USA Triathlon and multi-sport coach. I grew my coaching business and continued to train and compete at a very high level of triathlon.

Fast forward a few years, and my business/entrepreneurial and life goals changed slightly. I was a full-time mom of three kids under the age of 7. After several family vacations, I determined that traveling with three kids was very hard work! From lugging the stroller, the car seat, toys, and more through the airport, to trying to get my kids to sleep well at our destination, it was becoming more of a hassle than it seemed it was worth. I went in search of a solution.

In the summer of 2020, I rented a crib from a company called BabyQuip and loved the experience. It was so simple and made so much sense. It made traveling with kids so much easier and more enjoyable than it had previously been. I am now an Independent Quality Provider for BabyQuip, the #1 baby equipment rental service and marketplace offering thousands of baby gear items!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Transitioning from corporate life into a self-employed business owner took work. I spent many long nights and days building my business and clientele, getting the word out about my business, and doing everything I could to ensure I had happy customers. Sometimes I questioned whether it was worth it to work so hard to get such a small financial win.

Sometimes I wasn’t sure if it was something I could do mentally. But I stuck with it because the reward of seeing people I directly affected change and achieve something they couldn’t have without me was worth it. Becoming an independent quality provider with BabyQuip was relatively easy compared with the USA Triathlon coaching business.

Since I had three kids already and lots of new gear to add to my rental inventory, I was ready to start making travel for families coming to Colorado easier! Making the time to deliver and pick up the items can sometimes be a juggling act with the duties of a full-time mom. Still, my kids are troopers and love helping me prepare orders (especially picking out the toys and books), delivering them, and helping me set up. I love showing them that I can be a mom and an entrepreneur.

As you know, we’re big fans of BabyQuip. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about the brand?
