Today we’d like to introduce you to David Estis.
Hi David, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I originally went to school for TV and Film production, before deciding to get into a field where I can help people feel their best. I was in Massage Therapy school when I started working for a Chiropractor, and I loved watching his interactions and treatments with patients so much, that I enrolled in Chiropractic school before I even graduated Massage Therapy school.
I moved to Atlanta, GA (Marietta to be exact) and started at Life University just months after enrolling in the school in 2010. It was there that I met my now ex-wife, and after we were done with school we moved to sunny south FL, Boca Raton. After needing a chance of scenery, in 2018 we moved to Highlands Ranch, CO to take over an existing practice called 100% Chiropractic. 2018 was also the year that my son Greysen was born, so it was a life-changing year in all aspects of life!
Since then, I have sold my practice in Highlands Ranch, and started a new practice in Centennial, CO. I get to share the office space with an incredible Massage Therapist, and a fantastic DPT! I LOVE taking care of my community through Chiropractic care, friendship, and connection! I get to assist people in living their best lives, and for that, I am forever grateful.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There have definitely been struggles and challenges along the way. Moving to a state where I knew no one (Colorado) while taking over a new business, and having a baby is challenging enough! Follow that up with going through a separation and divorce in 2020, the year of Covid, was just the icing on the top. With that said, I wouldn’t change any of it because going through these challenging experiences made me the person that I am today!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I started Next Level Chiropractic in 2023, and I chose that name and logo design (It’s Super Mario Bros themed) because life is like a video game, where you’re always trying to get to the next level, and that all starts with your health and nervous system function. I pride myself on connecting with patients, and treating them as individuals with their Chiropractic care. Each adjustment is different.
I also use my office space to record episodes for my podcast titled ‘Level UP with Dave’. The concept of the podcast is utilizing the 1% better daily mantra with simple to use ideas and thoughts!
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
Moving to a state where I knew no one, and purchasing a business as a first time business owner is definitely risky and adventurous. But, sometimes when we are placed in a position of discomfort, we are able to grow and show ourselves what we are really capable of!
