Today we’d like to introduce you to Amy Collette.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Amy. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My mission is to help raise the positive vibration of the planet!
Books have always been the guideposts on my journey, showing me that life could be different from my limited perspective. Books taught me to dream and inspired me to reach for those dreams. They gave me a glimpse of a better, more fulfilling life, ultimately inspiring me to write my own book, The Gratitude Connection.

After learning the hard lessons of publishing, I wanted to help other authors tell their stories to build their business, grow their tribe, and make a powerful impact. What had seemed like a random mix of jobs and businesses became an obvious path to my purpose. I mashed up my careers as a writer, editor, project manager, and life coach into a new venture as a book coach and publisher. My Unleash Your Inner Author coaching program is a roadmap for first-time authors to make their book dreams come true. Now, they are all contributing to my mission to change the world!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
This journey would be a lot less interesting without the hills and valleys because they all teach me something valuable. I’m scouting the road for those who are coming behind me. I test the route and remove some of the rocks so it’s not quite as bumpy when the next author travels that road. While it’s definitely smoother now, every author and story is different, so I’m still learning new lessons every day.

What else should our readers know?
My company does two things: Book coaching and publishing. In coaching, the goal is to help people become first-time authors. Instead of diving right into writing, we start with exercises that dig deep to uncover the author’s mission, define their ideal readers, and understand their motivations and goals. Then I guide authors through the book writing process, providing a framework to share their message. Along the way, we make sure they’re meeting their goals and keeping readers turning the page.

Then, it’s time for publishing services that include professional editing, outstanding cover design, and appealing layout of the content. All these things add up to creating world-class books that make a powerful impact.

Every writer we work with shares a vision to make a difference in the world – to leave a legacy of hope and positivity. Our team of talented designers and editors takes their work and makes it stand out. These things are what sets us apart and what I’m most proud of.

Were there people and/or experiences you had in your childhood that you feel laid the foundation for your success?
Books have always provided a way for me to understand myself and my world. They helped me understand I was not alone, not the only one who saw the world in my quirky, intuitive way. Gifted authors illustrated possibilities and gave me permission to be creative and different.
