Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Fleming.

Brittany, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started my entrepreneur journey based on my struggles and wanting to overcome them in a new way. I am a single mother with very little support and couldn’t keep up with my 9-5 while trying to meet my daughter’s needs, train MMA and keep up with personal relationships. Something had to change.

At the time, I was juggling managing two gyms and starting my business so I started working with the personal trainers to get them seen on social media. Quickly along my journey, I found a community online and began a healing and spiritual walk to overcome trauma and start sharing my story, which led me to coach other businesswomen.

Has it been a smooth road?
This has been the ride of a lifetime, but I know now that everything else in life feels like small challenges. My biggest struggle was getting past my ego and wanting to hide because I wasn’t confident in myself and felt judged. Once I started to dig deep into my limiting beliefs and finding a support system things started to change. It’s all a mindset game! You can all the strategy in the world, but until you have worked on your mindset, you won’t see much progress and will continue to repeat patterns. Get clear on your message, get a coach, and start showing up!

Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I am a social media strategist and visibility coach who focuses on businesses run by black women. I pride myself not only on my work and creativity but being genuine and someone who will always offer support.

Were there people and/or experiences you had in your childhood that you feel laid the foundation for your success?
I recently did an exercise where I wrote letters to my parents and myself, just putting everything out onto the table… and then, I burned them. While writing these letters, I realized how grateful I am for the struggles I faced during my childhood and even until my early 20’s. Because of those experiences and lessons learned, have molded me into the entrepreneur, fighter, and mother that I am today.
