Today we’d like to introduce you to Cashmiyr Scott.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
It feels like as long as I can remember, I’ve always been drawn to beauty thinking back to when I would sneak and wear my mother’s lipstick (statute of limitations should be up) to seeing girls in school wearing makeup. I can remember spending hours trying various makeup styles and when my friends found out I was doing my own makeup, they started offering to pay me to do theirs and that’s when I realized I might be able to use my talents for something bigger.

A few years ago I was working as an esthetician at a local beauty counter and I remember just assessing certain products and setups that were used and thinking “if I were in charge this is how I would do this” and those ideas alone drew me to making my own brand and establishing a place all women can go to and feel comfortable at. Fast forward to today and that led me to getting my Permanent Makeup Cert, working hard in a salon for couple years and building up enough to open my own studio in Colorado Springs and bringing on a team.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
There were plenty obstacles mainly those out of your control money, time, etc. but if you have talent you will find a way to get past any obstacle in front of you. If you’re just starting out the best advice I can give is to be patient and outwork your competition. If you do those two things, you will experience success on some level despite many other challenges.

Please tell us about Chloe + Maddison Skin Studio.
At Chloe + Maddison Skin we specialize in Permanent Makeup Services, Lashes, Waxing, Microblading and skin services in Colorado Springs. My main service provided is Permanent Makeup by way of Microblading Eyebrows if you asked anyone who’s heard of us that’s what they probably tell you.

What makes me proudest is that we made this brand without any outside help and it gives me great joy to be able to provide representation for my children. I’ve been blessed enough to be able to share my gifts as donations to cancer survivors which is something I never imagined I’d be able to do.

What advice would you give to someone at the start of her career?
