Life and Work with Lauren Polidoro

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Polidoro.

Lauren, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I have always always been into sports and fitness. I played competitive sports for about six years or so, I had offers to play in college but I chose not to play. Shortly after that, I became very very lost and not sure what to do. As most college kids, I would just go out and party with no care in the world. This turned south for me very quickly. I moved back home within about 7 months of leaving for school. Once I got back home, my dad encouraged me to get back into the gym, and that’s what I did. Soon, I then competed in my first NPC show, and I have been hooked now for six years. Along the way, I took the initiative to learn more about the coaching aspect of the sport and I fell in love with it. I now coach with my husband, our company is Atlas Nutrition. As a whole company, we have over 200 plus clients from contest prep to lifestyle. I love being able to be a part of so many different journeys and help our clients reach their full potential. I truly LOVE what I get to do.

Not only do we have our coaching company, but we also own a supplement shop in Greeley, CO called Atlas Nutrition. Having a storefront has allowed us to spread our brand, even more, reach more people, and help even more people!

Has it been a smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road what so ever… I have had so many ups and downs, from relationships, friendships, as well as self-development.

The biggest struggle for me was to find the RIGHT people to surround myself with. I never put myself in a spot to grow, I always settled. When my husband and I met, we were both broken you could say. But as we grew together, we brought out something in each other neither of us knew we had. We always challenged each other, we both wanted to live the life WE wanted!

I finally found the person who I was supposed to be around, and who made me the best version of myself!

Once we started our first two businesses, I learned quickly I had to take the initiative to learn on my own and to just jump. There is no time to over analyze or question yourself! Just jump.

That would be my biggest advice to young women looking to start something new or try something new.
Just jump, sure you may fail or you will succeed. You failed? Who cares, you now how learned something new from failing. If you succeed? That is even better.

Keep jumping! Do not let anyone tell you differently, YOU CAN DO THIS.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Atlas Nutrition – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
I am a nutrition coach for Atlas Nutrition. I primarily coach women for contest prep or lifestyle!
I also help my husband run our supplement shop in Greeley, CO.

I would say I am most known for coaching and how I coach. I do not only write them a meal plan, but I also chose to help them grow in every aspect of life. Most do not realize how much they are capable of, I love to challenge my clients and push them outside that comfort zone!

Our brand – we are a community, a family. We are here to show those who are looking to change their life they have support, we are here to help them along the journey! This goes for our storefront as well, each customer is our family. We know them by the first name, we know their goals! We love to make everyone feel like they have a special spot with us in the Atlas Nutrition Family!

Who have you been inspired by?
The women who have inspired me in my life, my mom and grandma.
These two women are the strongest women I know. They know how to work for what they want, they know how to love but they will also put you in your place when it is needed.

My grandma passed away almost two years ago now, and each day I thank her for helping me (Tony and I) start our first business. Without her love and her believing in us, I don’t know if I would be where I am today.

As well as my mom, I do not even know where to start! She is the best mom (I know everyone says that, but really she is). Any idea I have brought to her she will give feedback on how to make it better, or heck even if my ideas needs A LOT of work! She is always there for me. She is amazing, she doesn’t even know how much she has taught me and how much I appreciate her as a mom, but most of all as a woman.
