Life and Work with Liza Sorochan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Liza Sorochan.

Liza, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My passion for skin started at a young age. Beauty and wellness would always catch my attention. I would set up an “at home salon” in my living room and practice facials on family and friends. Making people feel good about themselves has always been one of my top priorities. I was privileged enough to turn that into a career. I graduated from Denver School of Botanical and Medical Aesthetics Skincare program. Later on, after working for several companies and gaining valuable experiences, I decided to make the jump and open my own beauty studio. As a new entrepreneur, I can gladly say that I am proud of what I have accomplished with IS Beauty Studio so far and I know there is much more I can accomplish in the coming years.

Has it been a smooth road?
Not everything that I have accomplished with IS Beauty Studio has been easy. One of the biggest things I have learned so far is that patience is key. The start-up process was not easy. I would have one client per day, most of them being close friends, which was honestly a little discouraging. After many weeks of failed attempts to bring in more clientele, I decided to try out different marketing techniques, the most effective one being Groupon. I immediately started seeing an increase in business. This was just the start of my uprise. I decided to offer more services that required more maintenance like lash lifts. This brought even more business in. Ultimately, no everything is as elementary as it seems. You have to work for what you really want and eventually, your results will show just that.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with IS Beauty Studio – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I offer a variety of different services that specialize in esthetics. These services include facials, lash lifts, microdermabrasion, and derma planning, just to name a few. What sets me apart from other esthetician’s is my quality of work and my customer service. I take my time to make sure that my clients love their results and at the same time, enjoy their service. This in return has generated many great relationships with my clients both in and outside of work.

Were there people and/or experiences you had in your childhood that you feel laid the foundation for your success?
I am a strong believer that you are a representation of how you were raised. My father was my biggest role model growing up. He was also an entrepreneur so many of the values I adhere to I derived from him. My father taught me to fight for what I really wanted and to never give up, no matter the circumstances. I can proudly say that my father’s love and advice has played a great part in my success as well as making me into the woman I am today.
