Life and Work with Lorena Molano and Lauren Parker

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lorena Molano and Lauren Parker.

LoLa Beauty was founded by Lorena (Lo) and Lauren (La) in Austin, TX in 2013 and they have worked on over 1,500 brides with the help of their team. They recently launched their Denver sister company in 2018 and have won The Best of Knot for 2019.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Having a wedding business, managing a team of freelance and artists and being a mom hasn’t been the easiest thing to manage! However, their love of wedding hair and makeup and creating beautiful looks for a bride’s special day keeps them going. We will continue to work hard because we believe in the importance of helping a bride look and feel their very best.

Please tell us about LoLa Beauty DNVR.
We specialize in natural, glam makeup that is designed to bring out our client’s best features and accentuate, not mask, their beauty. We create looks that look flawless in pictures but are comfortable to wear and still allow the bride to look like herself. We use airbrush makeup because it is formulated to last thru the night while looking amazing on camera and film. We love creating hairstyles that look elegant and effortless. We prefer soft, textured looks that are feminine and ethereal.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts or other resources that you’ve benefited from using?
We love looking at makeup books, magazines and Instagram for inspiration. There are so many artists constantly pushing the envelope of wedding beauty and it’s fun to draw inspiration for creating our looks.
