I began working in the Colorado Cannabis industry in 2007. During this time, the cannabis industry in Colorado was only medical, and I have one on one interaction with all my patients at the Dispensaries I managed at. I developed a unique understanding of cannabis products and education about consumption. As this new industry grew, I saw a need for At Home education specifically for women.
In 2014, Healthy Honeys was born from a passion to educate women and a personal story about CBD use. It has been a wild ride full of regulations changes, test results, and about five payment processors. Now, Healthy Honeys has 100’s of representatives in 35 different states across the United States. We started with one CBD skin cream and now have over ten products including herbal tinctures, bath salts, and personal lubricant.
Three things have helped me get to where I am today is my passion, my support, and my self-care. There have been many times I have thought about giving up, but I know I am here to educate women about CBD and how it can change their lives for the better.
My friends,family, and Honeys have been there to support me for each event and each bad decision. Healthy Honeys creates a community around our events, and this very community has pushed me to grow my business and myself daily.
Finally, self-care and my CBD routine have been a game-changer in growing my business. Understanding self-care isn’t a luxury; it is necessary for my mind and body. Self-care, coupled with my daily 20mg of CBD, helps with focusing, strategy development, and communication, all of which have led to a successful, thriving business.
Has it been a smooth road?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road; it has been very difficult. Dealing with changes in laws about my business has continuously kept me on my toes.
My advice for other women; it is always on your toe allow yourself to build a business so it can be flexible to personal and market changes.
The other piece of advice I would say is don’t underestimate the value you bring to the table and make sure you ask what you want, dont expect for someone to read your mind in negotiations.
