Life & Work with Amanda Hardin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Hardin.

Amanda Hardin

Hi Amanda, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
In my roaring 20s, I was knee-deep in the healthcare hustle as an RN, surrounded by patients whose spirits dimmed faster than their age. The realization hit me – those thriving were the ones embracing life outside hospital walls.

Cue the vow: a new skill or experience every year to keep the mind and body on their toes. From scuba diving to solo globetrotting, I’ve checked boxes, including fitness competitions and a short 5k.

Now, here’s the unexpected plot twist – firearms. At 29, a single mom juggling chaos, I found solace at the range. Weird, right? But hear me out. It’s like meditation with a side of adrenaline. Dangerous? Absolutely. But at that moment, bills, kids, and work – gone. Focus is on, breath control, and shots on target – an unexpected sanctuary. This new skill is one I kept and thrived in!

Fast-forward to Top Shot Season 3 – a wild ride on History Channel’s reality TV stage. Fame? Check. But the real dazzle? Lipstick Tactical was born from a fusion of fierce marksmanship and unabashed femininity.

Unveiling the not-so-secret weapon: I dress VERY girly. From frills to firepower, breaking assumptions and empowering women, one shot at a time. My journey? It found me 100% – wild, unexpected, and uniquely me. Life is meant to be lived BY DESIGN!

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Smooth road? More like a rollercoaster of challenges and triumphs. The journey from RN to the forefront of Lipstick Tactical has been a wild ride.

Picture this: juggling a stethoscope and diapers, diving into the unpredictable world of single motherhood. Learning to shoot wasn’t just about hitting targets; it became my sanctuary, a pause button in life’s chaos. But let’s be real – the path to peace is paved with its own set of struggles.

Balancing work, kids, and a hunger for new experiences often felt like tightrope walking in stilettos. The range became my therapy, but not everyone understood – breaking stereotypes isn’t all lipstick and lace. It’s navigating the raised eyebrows, the skeptics, and the occasional scoffs.

Then came the curveball – a spot on Top Shot, thrusting me into the limelight. Sounds glamorous, right? But with the spotlight came scrutiny, doubts, and the pressure to represent something bigger than myself. The struggle? Proving that femininity and firearms aren’t mutually exclusive.

And Lipstick Tactical? Let’s just say building a brand challenging norms is no cakewalk. Breaking through the “boys’ club” mentality required grit, determination, and a sprinkle of charm.

Yet, every stumble taught me to strut. Each challenge fueled the fire to defy expectations. Lipstick Tactical isn’t just about guns; it’s a statement. A statement that says, “I can be girly, fierce, and a damn good shot.”

So, a smooth road? Nah. But the bumps? They’ve molded Lipstick Tactical into more than just a brand – it’s a rebellion, a celebration, and a testament that strength comes in many shades.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Lipstick Tactical isn’t just a brand; it’s a philosophy, a revolution, and a powerhouse for personal and professional empowerment. Let me break down what sets us apart and what I’m most proud of. Life must be LIVED BY DESIGN.

Firearms Training: Specializing in training new shooters isn’t just about hitting targets – it’s about instilling confidence and competence. I take pride in guiding individuals to not only handle firearms safely but to embrace the power and responsibility that comes with it. Certification and training for concealed carry? Check. But it’s more than arming oneself; it’s a journey into self-discovery.

Networking and Team Building: Beyond the range, Lipstick Tactical hosts dynamic business networking groups and team-building events. It’s not just about hitting bullseyes; it’s about building connections, fostering camaraderie, and breaking barriers in unconventional settings.

Passion for Professional and Personal Development: Now, what ignites my passion more than firearms training? Professional and personal development coaching. Lipstick Tactical is a beacon for those seeking more than marksmanship skills. It’s a revelation – an invitation to “become” without boundaries or fears. It’s about discovering the dormant power within, unearthing confidence, and realizing there’s nothing that can hold you back.

Inspiration and Empowerment: Lipstick Tactical isn’t just a company; it’s a source of inspiration and empowerment. It’s a recognition that self-defense is more than learning to protect yourself physically; it’s about standing up, expanding boundaries, and discovering the uncharted territories of your potential.

Pride in Liberation: What am I most proud of? Liberating individuals from self-imposed constraints. It’s witnessing the transformation from timid to tenacious, from doubtful to determined. Lipstick Tactical isn’t just a training ground; it’s a sanctuary for those ready to break free.

Empowering the Masses: A Voice Beyond the Range. Lipstick Tactical isn’t confined to the echo of gunfire; it reverberates through the power of words. As a passionate advocate for empowerment, I take the stage to share a message that transcends the firing range. It’s about dismantling preconceived notions, challenging stereotypes, and inviting individuals to consider the broader spectrum of empowerment. Public speaking is my avenue to amplify the Lipstick Tactical philosophy.

So, what sets us apart? It’s not just about shooting guns; it’s about firing up the spirit, breaking molds, and unleashing the limitless potential within every individual who interacts with Lipstick Tactical.

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
If you want to write a spicy thought-provoking article one day, come back to me with this question.

My answers and thoughts will be a blend of my fiercely independent spirit, my years of lobbying work on a local, state, and national level, and my medical background shaken up with experience as a small business owner.
