Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Quinn Smith.
Hi Jordan, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It was my younger brother who loaned me a few hundred dollars to buy my first camera off Craigslist the summer after I graduated from college. Back then, I was just a broke twenty-something with an entrepreneurial hunger and an ache to create.
Since then (I can’t believe it’s been 15 years), I’d say my career as a photographer has flourished because this is 100% WHAT I WAS PUT ON THIS EARTH TO DO. I am my best self when I am creating, making, and gathering from life as it happens.
As an artist, photography is the medium that allows me to soak up, transpose, and contribute to all of it. This life and career have allowed me to document radiant weddings, authentic lifestyles, and compelling brands from Alaska to Vietnam, Hawaii to Iceland, and plenty of extraordinary places in between.
The responsibilities of being a worldwide visual storyteller continuously light me up, and it truly knocks my socks off that I get to do what I do every day.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The biggest challenge has been relocating my business twice since JordanQuinn Photography opened its doors in 2009. I started my business in Chicago, moved to Seattle, and then moved again to Denver.
Building up my clientele each time was especially challenging. However, my work is more fully rounded after doing business in three very different markets.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Photographer, posing expert, personal wedding day hype-woman, and brand enthusiast for impact-makers worldwide. I specialize in photographing brands, events, and weddings.
Photography is my trade, but I’m a storyteller at my core. I pride myself in being trusted to deliver a high-end product while offering an exceptional experience along the way. Because my clients are looking for so much more than a woman with a camera; they want an experienced brand consultant, a champion for their vision, or a veteran virtuoso on the best day of their lives — and I’m here for all of it.
