Meet Aaron Hunn

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaron Hunn.

Aaron, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I began writing music in 6th grade. I read a lot when I was younger and loved fiction because you can create whatever story you wanted to. In 6th grade, I was introduced to Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and This was the spark I needed. I loved his aura and his storytelling while he still managed to make great music.

From then until 2013 I loved writing but had never taken it seriously and I connected with a friend from middle school and met and group he had been making music with. We dropped my debut album and a group compilation before I took a hiatus. Things really got kicked into high gear in 2017 when I connected with a member from that group and we began working. I released a few singles over the span of two years and dropped my true debut EP “Ephemeral” in August of 2019. This project is a perfect example of where my influence came from and how I have crafted it into my own unique style. This has been very successful for me and I hope to continue this with my most recent single titles “5 Piece” and my upcoming project titled “Thursday”.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
My biggest struggles were personal. Financial problems seem to always tear their head once I get going. Real-life has a way of interfering when things are going well. In addition, I struggled with my confidence. Being vulnerable is not easy and although artists and creatives have this sense of confidence, there is always a hint of self-doubt or worry about if people will enjoy your work. I am no stranger to this. I am still looking to find my “sound” and sometimes this causes doubts but I have a strong team and friends/family around me for this very reason.

Can you give our readers some background on your music?
I am known for my music. I love making music from the writing to recording to performing. I am known for my clever limes and compelling storytelling. I am most proud of all my work, however “Affinity” and “Feelings About You” are my two favorites. It is amazing to hear them and realize “I did this”. I think this and the personality behind the music illustrates a character that people can get attached to and really enjoy.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I hope to make a career of this. I don’t have to be a millionaire or billionaire. As long as I can make a decent living and my family can be set, I would love to make this my life. I am planning on a big release titled “Thursday” which will have multiple visual components to it to make it pop even more.
