Meet Adir Saati of Longevity Training in Vail, Colorado

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adir Saati.

Adir, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I first moved to Denver (from Albany NY) to go to The National Personal Training Institute in Lakewood, Colorado (at the time). During this time I met my two Mentors David Jacobs (Level 3 fitness) and Neil Bogan (Level 3 Fitness), and over time we grew a great relationship having them teach me all about Applied Functional Science, which is a different approach of Physical Therapy and Movement Therapy by Gary Gray and the Gray Institute. Once I was introduced to this philosophy I kind of had my “aha! moment” and said to myself “this is the answer, this is what EVERYONE should be doing to be healthy and have LONGEVITY for our body”.

While mentoring me at different gyms/studios, David, Neil, and Myself, all got together and figured out a way to open our own gym, a Physical Therapy / Personal Training hybrid studio. After almost a year of planning and preparing, we opened up Level 3 Fitness in the Glendale area of Denver. David and Neil really took me under their wing and took time to teach me as much as they could within the three years I was with them at Level 3 Fitness, but I felt like I had to spread my wings and take off to the Mountains in Vail to restart my career. I love those two so much, and we remain very close and still mentoring and teaching me how to be better all the time.

After I moved to Vail and established myself in various gyms in the Valley, I decided to go on my own, and Open Longevity Training. Longevity Training was created from Applied Functional Science. But I noticed one fundamental problem I found my clients were having trouble with understanding the philosophy. So, I simplified the most essential information of the Philosophy for people with little to none Anatomy and or Fitness background so they can understand and apply to their life.

In Vail, we primarily go to clients’ homes, bring all the equipment necessary, and train inside or outside (weather depending). Its been two years since I officially started Longevity Training LLC, and since then, I have also established an Online presence doing Longevity Training online. We do this by meeting live on video chat 1:1, Live Online classes, and custom app with all of my personal unique videos on for you to follow along with.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not, haha, but that’s part of the fun, right?

Living up here in the mountains we live a seasonal life, so during the offseason, 90% of my clients leave for about 2 months, and they come back for the start of the next season. So the inconsistency of the steady income creates problems, but over time im growing clients, and those slow times become less hurtful.

Please tell us about Longevity Training.
Longevity Training was created to give people the bare essentials of what you need to live a long, active, healthy life participating in the sports and activities we love to do, as we get older. LT gives you a movement program that identifies your weaknesses and imbalances and teaches you how to correct them. It’s a program that gets the whole body to move together to create a strong working team. It takes the movements you do during your sport and creates exercises that will mimic and enhance those movements. It teaches you how to Prepare and Recover from anything you do physically during your day.

Just like brushing our teeth, we accept that we need to brush and floss consistently to have “Longevity” for our gums and teeth. We accept this as part of our life. We don’t look in the mirror after we brush and expect them to be whiter or healthier, we do it because we know this prevents it from getting darker and rotten over time, as we get older. That’s how we need to think for our Muscles and Joints. Longevity Training gives you those tools you need to move consistently, always progressing, and preventing injuries from occurring throughout our life.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Being around my father’s business and following him around. He started with a small Bagel Shop in NY and grew to a huge catering company. Watching him run a business gave me the motivation/inspiration to do so for myself once I get older. Even though he was a busy guy, he always made time to play sports with me and show me the joy of being outdoors.

Besides that, I LOVED being outdoors and getting dirty. Climbing (and falling sometimes, haha) trees, camping, and anything involving water/ swimming.
