Meet Alexis O’Connor of The Denver 100

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexis O’Connor.

Alexis, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Ever since a young age, I remember riding around in my dad’s car showing homes, listening to client meetings and learning the lingo. After many years of hearing my parents discuss real estate, then working for my dad’s company, as a marketing coordinator, I developed a passion for the industry. I was infatuated with the opportunities that are prevalent within Real Estate. Learning of my passion, I then attended the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado. I there began to search for the right path. During my junior year I was recognized for “Business Operations and Building a Company from the Ground Up” by The Leeds School of Business, this was a tremendous honor and guided me towards the realization of an entrepreneurial career path. I graduated in 2017 and gained my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Finance and a certificate of Real Estate.

I am now currently working as the VP of Operations/Broker Associate for The Denver 100, LLC. After completing my first year of Residential Real Estate, I became “A Diamond Award Winner” by SMDRA for production in the 2018 selling season. I then moved to increase my knowledge by committing to provide a higher level of professional services through securing a strong educational foundation and obtaining the Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI). Since then, I am working towards gaining two years of Residential Real Estate, and striving to continue my achievements in the Denver Real Estate Market.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
When I first answered this question I thought, “Residential Real Estate is an ever-changing market, that requires an evolving professional.” Although, this may not answer the question fully it gives a better idea of what the industry faces.

Therefore, I would not consider Residential Real Estate easy; you must give it your all and some, but that is why I love it! Who wouldn’t want to work hard to get to the finish line? Not me!

So no, I do not consider it easy, but why would I want it to be?

We’d love to hear more about your business.
I am the VP of Operations/Broker Associate for The Denver 100, LLC an innovative real estate services company in the Denver Metro area. We specialize in providing top quality services to each client through our time-tested systems. Personally, I am known for, providing the “Alexis Enhanced Service Package” to each client.

I am most proud of my trustworthiness, knowledge of the industry and my empathy for my clients. I think these same things that I am proud of are what set me apart from my competitors and set me apart as an entrepreneur.

What were you like growing up?
I was a perfectionist. I had this drive to be the best in everything I did, and where my knowledge lacked, I outworked others. Although, I still strive for perfection, I have learned that the world is not perfect, and that growing with the imperfections can create success. In my business today, I strive for perfection to ensure an exceptional transaction.

While I was growing up, I had a love for sports, whether playing them or watching them. This admiration for sports has taught me so many lessons through the years; practice makes perfect, hard work goes farther than talent, and showing up every day with a great attitude is the key to your success. I continue to surround my life with sports, as it is a constant reminder of the lessons I learned so many years ago.

Those lessons have shaped who I am, and who I will be. I will always be reminded of the big dreams that I had, as a little girl, and I never want to let her down!
