Meet Aly Pratkelis of Dreamscape Digital Media

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aly Pratkelis.

Hi Aly, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey did not start out with a perfectly mapped plan. I mostly followed curiosity and paid attention to what kept pulling me in.

My early experiences were rooted in public service, advocacy, and politics, where I learned quickly how much communication and visibility matter. Much of my work involved digital media, storytelling, and helping messages reach people clearly. That time gave me practical skills and a fundamental understanding of how easily narratives take shape online.

At the same time, I was involved in modeling and pageantry, which placed me in public-facing spaces in a very different way. Those experiences taught me what it feels like to be seen and how important it is to stay grounded when attention is involved. Moving between those worlds made one thing clear. Many people struggle to show up online, not because they lack confidence or talent, but because translating who they are into a digital space does not come naturally.

Those conversations and observations eventually became the foundation for co-founding Dreamscape Digital Media. The business grew out of honest discussions with friends, creatives, and small business owners who wanted to show up online in a way that felt genuine and sustainable. We focus on content creation and digital strategy, but the core of the work is clarity. Helping people feel comfortable sharing what they do has been the most rewarding part of the process.

I also chose to gain real-world experience before pursuing law school. Spending time in creative and digital environments sparked a strong interest in intellectual property and innovation, particularly around how ideas and creative work are shared and protected. That interest continues to shape where I am headed next.

Today, I focus on building work that feels thoughtful and lasting. Whether through business, creative spaces, or my future legal path, my goal is simple: to help people. Help people communicate clearly and build something they feel proud to share with a larger audience.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No road in entrepreneurship is supposed to be smooth, and honestly, if it were, it would probably be boring. The bumps, detours, and side routes are usually where the best stories come from. Some of our biggest challenges came down to learning to trust ourselves and each other, especially early on, when there was no clear proof we were “doing it right.”

One moment that really stuck with us came after we spoke at a Partners for Youth with Disabilities conference in Boston. We were sitting on the floor of the airport, completely exhausted, after spending two hours making friendship bracelets, having an impromptu Taylor Swift dance party, and talking about resilience with students. It did not look polished or strategic on paper, but it felt right. That moment showed us the value of building a community centered around inspiring others and helping people build confidence in themselves, regardless of their abilities.

When you start a business, people may not see your vision right away. Sometimes they do not see it at all in the first year or two, and that can be discouraging if you let it be. Learning to keep building anyway, to laugh at the imperfect moments, and to stay committed to doing things our way has been one of the most rewarding parts of the journey. Those messy, human moments are not distractions from the work. They are often the clearest reminder of why the work matters.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Dreamscape Digital Media grew out of real conversations, not a business plan written in advance. The company exists because my co-founder and I kept meeting people who cared deeply about what they were building but felt unsure about how to show up online in a way that truly reflected them.

At its core, Dreamscape helps people communicate clearly and comfortably. We work with entrepreneurs, creatives, and small business owners, focusing on content creation, digital strategy, and messaging. The process often starts by slowing things down, sorting through ideas, and clarifying what someone wants to say and how they want to be seen.

What sets Dreamscape apart is intention. We are not interested in pushing people into trends or telling them to be louder, more aggressive, or constantly online. The focus is on sustainability and confidence. Many clients come to us feeling overwhelmed or uncertain about their digital presence. Helping them feel grounded and clear is central to the work.

Brand-wise, I am most proud of how the business has grown through relationships and word-of-mouth. People come back, refer others, and continue building alongside us, which speaks to the trust behind the work.
Dreamscape is built for clarity, not performance. We help people communicate honestly without reshaping who they are to fit a trend. When messaging is clear, growth feels steady and sustainable.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
One of my favorite childhood memories is playing outdoor grass volleyball on summer evenings. It was playful, loud, and carefree in the best way. Bare feet in the grass, long rallies that turned into laughter, and staying outside until the light faded made those nights feel endless.

Those moments were never about structure or outcomes. They were about freedom, movement, and being fully present. I loved how simple it all felt and how easy it was to lose track of time when joy was the focus.

That feeling is a big part of why I chose to start my own business. I wanted a life that allowed space for moments like that, without guilt or apology. Being able to enjoy joy, creativity, and connection on my own terms still matters to me, and it continues to shape how I build my life and my work.
