Today we’d like to introduce you to Amy Leiter.
Amy, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My name is Amy Leiter and I am an Artist, Board Certified Art Therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor, and Community Collaborator in Denver, Colorado.
All of my training and experiences allow me to offer a spectrum of healing and transformational experiences from a Transpersonal lens. This means I meet you where you are at and I am open to engaging with all of you (mental, emotional, physical and spiritual) so I am beginning to talk about my work as Transpersonal Art Healing.
I specialize in work through Mind-Body connection paired with the Art Processes because I believe the art experience creates tangible evidence of growth and change. The interventions and services I provide for women and pre-teens may be art as healing, mindfulness, and therapeutic art-based modalities. I support individuals in cultivating a deeper connection with their higher self and exploring a variety of healing methods and other eclectic modalities to help with symptoms of anxiety, life transitions and self-judgment or self-esteem challenges. I am committed to work with the nonprofit sector and to give of myself to support individuals and our art community in healing as the Founding Partner of Violet Hive Art Collective an organization focused on bringing art and mindfulness to the community through a Community Studio. The business is expanding to incorporate The Revival Project Denver, focused on more conscious evolution through art, mindfulness and spirituality at Nurture a Wellness Marketplace.
After graduation from Naropa in 2015, I founded Violet Hive Art Therapy and Healing, which is now doing business as Violet hIve Art Collective. I am a Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC / ATCB #17-115) and credentialed as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC.0014329 Colorado ). I have also completed Reiki 1 training.
I specialize in therapeutic work through mind-body connection and breath, paired with the art process. I support individuals in cultivating a deeper connection with themselves and exploring a variety of healing methods and other therapeutic modalities to help with symptoms of anxiety, self-judgment or self-esteem challenges, and life transitions.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Violet Hive Art Collective – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Violet Hive Art Collective Mission & Values
Violet Hive uses mindfulness and art to support healing and positive change.
We are a community art and art therapy collective which works to serve the Denver community and its 501(c)(3) nonprofits. Because we know the art process is inherently healing we mindfully provide art classes (art as healing studios) and therapeutic services to individuals and organizations. Through the art process, individuals may engage in creativity and healing experiences in a safe and non-judgmental environment. No matter if healing is achieved through art therapy or an art as healing studio, we are passionately committed to supporting you in the exploration of learning to care for your entire being, experience joy, and transformation. We believe in the power of the human spirit and art’s ability to heal.
The Revival Project by Violet Hive Art Collective
Sometimes we feel out of alignment with who we want to be. We understand this and created art as healing studios and opportunities to build on mindfulness and skills for self-care. We address areas of growth and transformation through working with art, the chakras, and mindfulness for a renewed connection with the self, emotions, and healing through experience.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
During our expansion, we are searching for a future home for Violet Hive Art Collective’s studio space called The Honeycomb Studio near one of Denver’s art districts, possibly near Aurora Art District. Nurture will soft open in November and fully open after the first of the year. We will also be collaborating with Jen Ibanez of Surrender in the City on Retreats in Denver and also in other locations. We will be raising funds and looking for investors to allow us to offer ceramics and more reduced fee therapy at our studio space as well as mobile with schools and other nonprofit organizations.
In my private practice, I am beginning to offer Human Design as part of our process of working together. Human Design System is a synthesis of wisdom and modern sciences and has proven to be a valuable tool for understanding human patterns and energy.
Human Design allows you to discover what makes you unique. Human Design offers profound insights into your psychology, along with strategies and techniques for leading a life with more ease and fulfillment.
