Meet Angela Martin of Liv & B Designs in Highlands Ranch

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angela Martin.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Angela. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started my career in Canada in Homeopathic Medicine and found out I had to move to Anchorage AK in 2000. Unfortunately, my degree didn’t allow me to practice in that state, so I had to switch gears to do something else.

Liv & B was born from a powerful idea and is deeply rooted in family. I have from a lineage of creative, strong, and selfless women and dedicated mothers. My mother and mentor in life, was a stained glass artist, florist, baker, and talented seamstress. She inspired me to embrace and believe that imperfections are the gateway between humanity and art. As a trained classical Homeopath I was taught that every person is an individual and that being imperfect is natural and beautiful. Liv & B jewelry designs are handcrafted with this same holistic vision in mind. No two gemstones are the same, allowing you to find that timeless piece that speaks to only you. Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As a family, we have moved a lot because of my husband’s job. We have lived in four different states so it hasn’t always been easy to get established and rooted in one community. We love Highlands ranch and have decided to plant ourselves here and call it home, for good. The adjustments have been hard at times but have only made our family realize that we are strong and adaptable.

Please tell us about Liv & B Designs.
Liv & B Designs was named after our children, Alivia and Brennan and is our philosophy in life as well. Liv & B who YOU want to be. Create a life that you desire and how will you matter?

Our purpose at Liv & B is to take a stance for self-love. To support and celebrate the evolved woman. To empower her to say “This is who I am” To help her express and embrace her style, her voice and herself. The Evolved woman loves herself unconditionally. And that, in itself, is enough to change the world.

We hand make and create timeless redefined classics and many times we don’t create the same piece twice. (A variation of the piece but not an exact replica). Like in Homeopathic medicine no two people are alike so why should your jewelry be?

We use gold fill, sterling silver, fine silver and a little bit of copper as our materials and its complemented with hand-selected gemstones. We use the gemstones to help with self-empowerment and mantras for healing.

As a company, we are proud of supporting other women in business and in life. I love collaboration over competition. We celebrate that imperfections are perfect and to love ourselves unconditionally for who we are.
I believe separates us from others. We love to get to know our customer on a personal level to design pieces for them specifically and try and deliver items that no one else has. We collaborate with our customers to make meaningful bespoke pieces and often name the piece after them.
We are known for personal customer service.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory from childhood is baking cookies in the kitchen with my mother and her teaching me the basics in life, sewing, cooking and creating beautiful things. She taught me that imperfections are perfect just as they are, which in turn gave me the self-confidence growing up to be who I wanted to be. I loved spending time with her.
