Meet Anza Goodbar

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anza Goodbar.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
In 2007, I started a virtual business services company. I worked mostly with women entrepreneurs starting up a new business or who had plateaued and needed help moving forward with the next steps. What I discovered during that time is that women weren’t feeling stuck because they didn’t have great products, services or systems. They all struggled with self-worth issues.

I found that women show up the same way in their personal life and business life so I came up with this concept of transformation and empowerment from the boardroom to the bedroom. If you don’t feel worthy of love, wealth, or success, you will self-sabotage.

So I made a huge shift in my business a couple of years ago to focus on business coaching from a totally different angle. I help women love themselves and overcome defeating self-talk. I take a holistic approach by focusing on the person and looking at self-love being the center of it all.

When women love themselves, they have deeper connections in all of their relationships – work, personal, and romantic. When they feel connected, loved and accepted by the people in their life, they are willing to take bigger risks in their life and live full out. What I call living a wildly happy life.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Oh, no! It has not been smooth. There have been lots of ups and downs. There have been mindset shifts that have come along the way.

I’ve had my own issues of self-worth, body image and imposter syndrome to overcome. I came to the coaching game late in my career and in the beginning, I felt like my voice couldn’t be heard above the “big girls” in the game with years of experience and massive mailing lists.

Once I was able to acknowledge that was a story I was telling myself and it wasn’t based in truth, my business shifted. The energy we bring to our business is the energy we create. I believe that if we have an authentic heart to serve others, we will attract the tribe of people we are meant to work with.

I also started working with a coach who could see my blindspots and call me out on my self-imposed blocks. That was the BEST decision I ever made. She could help me step back and see my limited thinking and encourage and support me to face my fear and push through it.

I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing today if I hadn’t had the courage to look at myself and define what I really wanted to do. Sure, I could do leadership and business coaching because I’m good at it….or I could help empower women to take life by the horns and create a life that helps them feel empowered and alive!

Please tell us about your work.
I am a life and intimacy coach. I work with women and couples to work on issues that build more connection and intimacy in their relationships beginning with themselves. I believe that we can only be intimate with others to the extent that we are willing to be intimate with ourselves.

I am creating a membership site to provide resources at an affordable price point so I can offer women on-demand resources.

I help women experience transformation and empowerment from the boardroom to the bedroom by teaching on topics like:

– boundaries
– self-love
– body image
– confidence
– communication
– self-care
– mindset
– relationship with money
– intimacy
– taking radical responsibility for their lives
– releasing shame

Many women who work with me are at a transitional point in their life. They have gone through a life event like a divorce, death of a spouse, new to being an empty nester, loss of a job. They are wanting to figure out the next steps in life, but need clarity to take the next step.

I help them define what they want by undergoing a process called desire mapping. It is different than goal setting in that it focuses on how you want to feel in your life. Once we have defined how they want to feel, we look at the types of people and activities that support those feelings. We design a wildly happy life from the inside out.

Once a woman knows what she wants and has a clear path to get there, we focus on self-love. If she doesn’t believe, she deserves those things she will self-sabotage or get stuck in fear. We take a look at those limiting mindsets and get to the root of the belief. That is where the magic happens!

I specialize in working with women between 35 and 60. I teach skills women need to create the types of relationships they want to have to feel seen, heard, and understood by the people they love most by having the courage to speak up and ask for what they need.

I am known for my tagline: transformation & empowerment from the boardroom to the bedroom because I work with the totality of a woman’s life. I am also becoming known for using yoni crystals to promote energetic healing with women. These crystals are especially powerful for women who have experienced emotional trauma.

I am most proud of the profound privilege I have to help women discover who they really are and speak up for what they want. It’s like watching a flower blossom right before your eyes. When a woman loves her self, there is a radiance that shines through her face. She feels limitless and she knows her value. It is the most amazing thing to be a part of!

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I had to start over, I’d hire a coach sooner.

I had owned many businesses before I started my coaching business. I didn’t realize how different it was to sell yourself versus a product. It took me a long time to find my stride. I wanted to guarantee results, but in coaching that is tricky. The client has to do the work to create the results.

I would also look for marketing methods that fit my personality and style and not try to fit into the one size fits all marketing programs that are promoted. “Sales” has always been a dirty word for me and I really struggled with the sales processes that are so rampant in my industry.
