Meet Berta B. of Exotic Lox in South East

Today we’d like to introduce you to Berta B.

Berta, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My inspiration came from my grandmother who struggled with alopecia since she was a little girl back home in Russia. Her whole life she wore scarfs over her head to make herself feel pretty and I was 18 when she passed away in 2004. Because I was named after her, I felt like this was my calling after her passing. My hair has always been thin and extensions became popular in 2004. I started going to Sally’s beauty, but the longest length they had was 20” – I wanted long hair! This is where my passion came out: to find long hair of good quality. One of my friends noticed my hair and we started making our own hair extensions with extensive research for quality hair. Then, we started making hand custom clip ins for fun. It became something I wanted to do to help other women feel beautiful, even little girls who suffer from alopecia and chemotherapy.

It makes me happy that I can make another woman feel beautiful again. I have started a fundraiser on my website called wigs for kids and any donation will help our community and a beautiful girl feel pretty again. The reaction on their faces is priceless.

Has it been a smooth road?
There have been many times I wanted to give up working a full-time job, and starting your own business at the same time wasn’t easy but with hard work and dedication I didn’t give up because this is my passion, I knew there would be light at the end of the tunnel.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Exotic Lox – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
Hair extensions are created from real human hair donated by passionate and dedicated women. We only sell the highest-quality virgin/raw hair sourced from China and India shipped to our manufacturing company in Atlanta, Georgia. Many suppliers will trick you into thinking you have “Brazilian, Malaysian, or Peruvian” hair extensions, but the truth is, those are just marketing ploys. We believe in transparent business and believe that you should have absolute confidence in your hair products. Hair extensions are nothing new, but the market has grown rapidly in the last several years as higher quality hair has become more accessible to everyone. In that time, we’ve become knowledgeable of the developing industry and have secured valuable connections with suppliers around the world. Some people have trouble growing hair, some like switching their hairstyles, and some just wish they had long hair! Whatever the reason for buying extensions, we’re passionate about making people feel beautiful. Virgin hair extensions are a very good investment because, with the proper care & maintenance, they can last for several years.

Exotic Lox not only sells hair extensions and wigs but also helps the community locally in Denver, Colorado by providing free human hair wigs to the little girls who have suffered from a medical illness that has created hair loss. Many little girls already have an identity crisis and want to fit in, there is nothing more rewarding than making this happen by supplying a real human hair wig to them to see them smile is priceless!

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love Denver! We get snow in the winter, blooming nature in the spring, dry and hot summer and color-changing and shedding leaves in the fall. Sometimes, we can get all four seasons in one day.

Dislikes: we have had a lot of people move to Colorado ever since the housing market became popular but the housing has skyrocketed to us locals so it’s a little shocking how fast our city has grown, the traffic is getting worse. It’s like a little California.
