Meet Blake Adams of Fetch in Downtown/RiNo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Blake Adams.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Six years ago, I realize there was a need for a market in the Denver area that supported all things, brands, artisans, artists… not just a typical craft fair. Memorial Day of 2014 was the first Denver Flea. We had only 35 vendors but drew 5k people! I knew we hit on something and we’re filling a need for Denver consumers. Over the years we’ve hosted Denver Flea (now Fetch Markets) in all kinds of “venues” including a vacant Kmart, the former Denver Post printing facility, city parks, and vacant warehouses. We’ve hosted thousands of vendors from across CO and from over 15 other states and over 250,00 visitors. In 2019, we rebranded to Fetch Markets to coincide with the opening of our retail store – Fetch Shop – at Dairy Block in LoDo.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Struggles include finding venues. Denver does not have large event spaces.

Fetch – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We are in the business of connecting people and bringing life to places. We are known for great vendors and a party atmosphere. I’m most proud of my team of amazing people that tirelessly works to produce successful events. Our marketing reach and attention to detail separate us from others.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Growing my business beyond just markets to opening a retail store.
