Meet Brooke Evans of Colorful BEing at Forma + Collective Salon in South Denver

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brooke Evans.

Brooke, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I have been a hairdresser for 20+ years and an educator and speaker in the industry for the last 15+ years. I have worked in the top salons in Denver and industry leaders around the world! I love every aspect of my work and have participated in my industry in every way, from NY fashion week to editorial, photo competition, education, content creation, and of course working with clients behind the chair.

I went out on my own five years ago and it reignited my passion for my work and challenged me to grow in ways I didn’t know I desired. I work behind the chair and run my business at my best friends salon Forma + Collective Salon and travel the world educating and speaking! I still participate in editorial and competition hair as well as create custom classes for salons and seminars globally.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I was a commissioned employee for almost 15 years and went out on my own five years ago. I was nervous to make the leap but knew it was the next step in growth for my career. Learning the proper way to run my business has been exciting and challenging. Keeping up with bookings, clients and finances took me a bit to get into the groove but is smooth sailing now.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
I am a Master Colorist and color and balayage specialist. I have been a licensed professional for over 20 years and have been educating my peers, in our craft, around the world for 15 years. I love every aspect of my industry and am blessed to do what I love!

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I am working on my social platform and website. Building my education brand and I am super excited to start filming for my online courses launching in the fall.
