Meet Cassi Torres of High 5 Plumbing in North Denver

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cassi Torres.

Cassi, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Seven years ago, my husband Levi and I started High 5 Plumbing. Between his experience and expertise in the plumbing industry and my background in teaching, we felt confident to begin our path as entrepreneurs. Our desire was to create a company that our team, clients, and community would High 5 about which ultimately lead to the name High 5 Plumbing and to our slogan being “Every Call Ends With A High 5!” Our team’s mission is to ensure the customer service we provide through the communication, technology, and workmanship result in High 5’s. We have built and continue to grow a plumbing company that has the vision to provide our team members a place to be proud to be a part of and a place to create a High 5 Life!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
This journey has definitely not been smooth. The journey has been a roller coaster ride for sure, but the highs are what keep this journey so fun and the lows are what we have learned the most lessons from. Working with Levi has been the biggest reward, but has at times been a challenge working with my spouse. Most people can’t understand why we choose to work together, but those struggles have allowed us to learn how to best communicate with one another as business partners which transfers to us having great communication in our personal life as well. Bottom line, communication is key to any business, but especially important when spouses are working together since there are so many emotions involved in that partnership. We also love that we get to spend the majority of our time together!

Please tell us about High 5 Plumbing.
High 5 Plumbing is a progressive company that is making waves in the plumbing industry. We are innovative and incorporate technology in our daily lives. Things we are known for and what our clients most love is how we communicate. When we are on our way to their homes, they receive a text that has a link where they can track the plumber’s arrival, just like you would for an Uber ride. We also are available to communicate through texting and clients can even schedule their visit on our website. We are a service company that does repairs and installs on water heaters, toilets, sinks, faucets, water lines, drain lines, gas lines, etc.

Things that we are proud of and set us apart are the High 5 Cares program. Every month we give back and spotlight a nonprofit in the Denver Metro Area who we feel is doing a great job helping our community. We are proud of the work our team does to give back every month and we love giving those deserving nonprofits exposure within our network. It has brought a lot of joy to our team.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Being an entrepreneur can be really hard and lonely at times, so I would surround myself with a circle of individuals and entrepreneurs to ask questions to as well as listen to their stories and learn from. Doing this four years ago has allowed us to grow High 5 due to all the support and coaching we have received. So, don’t be afraid to ask for help.
