Meet Charlene (Charliiey) Byron of Bright Day Cleaning Service in Lone Tree

Today we’d like to introduce you to Charlene (Charliiey) Byron.

Charlene (Charliiey), can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
20 years ago, I had no idea I would be the person I am and the entrepreneur that I am today.

I had a very chaotic past. Failed relationship. Didn’t know how to be a mom. All that which lead me to an amazing job at Dance theatre of Harlem until my relocation to Colorado in 2010.

After years of figuring out who I was as a person and what “I wanted to be when I grew up,” I landed the perfect job as an office manager at Firefly Autism. After a few years there, I decided to take on the additional job as the custodian in the evening.

Long story short I ended up leaving my position as office manager and decided healer (Cleaner) was what I was supposed to be doing.

Here I am 4 years later with amazing staff, clients and endless support from the community.

I beat myself up for so long thinking I was a horrible parent, failed human and a waste of space.

I realized way later in life that I needed to love myself and realize my own potential for anyone else to see me.

I appreciate my former employee and now four-year client Firefly Autism for giving me a chance to shine inside and outside of the organization just as they do for the children they serve.

My children have always been my motivation. I work for them. I build for them. My goal is continued growth in business to leave a legacy for my children’s children.

I’m proud that my children want to take an active role in the businesses I’ve created. I laugh to myself when I think whew it’s a dirty job but they are all in for it.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The road to where I am now has been a educating. Learning how to do anything has its challenges but all that lead me to be able to handle anything that comes my way. I take the good, bad and ugly and learn and apply to the next situation.

Bright Day Cleaning is a residential and commercial cleaning company. Our priority is creating customized services for each company and individual household that want and need our services. We have a healing approach to our cleaning. We focus on making sure our clients come home or go to work feeling refreshed and ready to handle whatever they have in their lives other than cleaning.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We are very excited for the future of this company. We are a 14 person staff and expanding daily. We have plans for a physical location in the near future as well as more giving in the communities of the elderly and cancer patients.
