Meet Cinthia Mendoza of Cinthia’s Boutique in Northeast

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cinthia Mendoza.

Cinthia, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started my business about three months ago in hopes to not only be able to do something I love and enjoy but so I can be able to hopefully run a successful business from home one day and be able to stay home with my son and raise him. I want to be a good role model for him because he is my motivation for this. He’s the reason for it all. Although I am nowhere near where I want to be, I refuse to give up no matter how hard it gets.

Has it been a smooth road?
My first struggle was that I had no idea where to even begin. I tried to ask around but had no luck gaining information. I had to take some time to do some research and just took a leap of faith. It has been a lot of trial and error. I had to teach myself from how to run a business to package items, advertise to shipping and labeling and taking decent pictures. There are so many aspects to running your own business from home and I don’t think people get what goes on behind the scenes. It’s a one women show!

We’d love to hear more about your business.
I run a small women’s clothing boutique. I believe what sets me apart is interaction. I really try to interact and listen to what my audience wants. I really take everyone’s feedback into consideration and try to always be there to answer any questions they have. I’m really honest and I will do live try on hauls on social media so I can show off the items. The way they fit and type of materials they’re made of. I would say that’s also what I am most proud of is that I am willing to put my self out there without worrying about being judged.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I do believe Denver is a good city. There’s always room for growth. We have a lot of diversity and although there’s plenty of boutiques around, I feel like they are all unique because they all have their own style that represents the owner/creator of the boutique.
