Meet Claire Whitworth-Folsom and Daniel Folsom of Savoring Colorado

Today we’d like to introduce you to Claire Whitworth-Folsom and Daniel Folsom.

Claire and Daniel, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
We started Savoring Fort Collins back in 2015. We loved going out to eat, trying new recipes and new breweries and decided to share our experiences on Instagram. In 2016 we started our website with Q&As with local businesses as well as our favorite recipes.

In 2018, Savoring Colorado was born. We decided we were also including things from the mountains, Denver and other towns we stopped in and decided it was time to do an overall Savoring. In 2019 we decided to move to the Denver area where we really were able to start exploring. Savoring Colorado still has more growing to do and we cannot wait!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road for us. We really had to change with the times on social media, we had a lot of work with our photos and also had people who didn’t always take us seriously. There were events that were hard for us to get access to, other bloggers that weren’t as welcoming and we really worked hard to get our name out there. Moving to Denver, we feel kind of in the same boat but more experienced and ready.

Savoring Colorado – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Savoring Colorado really loves sharing the story behind the business. We have all been places to eat and drink but what are the true stories and passions of the people behind that place. I’m not sure if we specialize in anything but we really have made some awesome connections and friendships out of our business. We are most proud of the stories we tell and really value our relationships with those we have met along the way.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Personally, we define success by our relationships and when strangers or friends talk to us about our favorite posts or where they should grab a cup of coffee with a relative. For us, it is more about the adventure than the likes.
