Meet Clara Frostman of Unique Photos Photography in Broomfield

Today we’d like to introduce you to Clara Frostman.

Clara, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started taking photos around two years ago for fun. I fell in love with the artistry and creativity that came with taking the photos. I started off doing portrait photography and family photos. I loved the connection of getting to work with clients and family and provide them with memories for the rest of their life. As I learned more and more techniques and as my business started to grow, I moved more into concert photography. I combined two passions of mine music and photography. This avenue has opened up so many doors for opportunity and friendship. Now two years after starting Unique Photos Photography, I have booked festivals all around Colorado and have worked many concerts around the Denver metro area. I look forward to continuing to grow as a photographer as well as doing more concerts in the future. There is a quote that inspired me to do photography and that is ““Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The road has defiantly had its ups and downs in the past two years. Being any kind of artist is not easy! I have found that the photography community is very supportive of one another. There is always so much support from other photographer and one of the best things that has helped is learning from one another. When I came into the scene as a photographer, I knew what seems like very little compared to now. I am always learning from other photographers and always looking to improve.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Unique Photos Photography story. Tell us more about the business.
I am an independent photographer out of Broomfield, Colorado. I primarily shoot concerts and festivals but I also enjoy doing work with portraits and families. When taking photos in any setting, I always look for “unique” angles and different perspectives. I am most known for my work with concert photography and supporting local artists on their journey. I am most proud of the local talent that I support with Unique Photos Photography. I believe in artists no matter what the medium is helping each other and supporting one another. I believe what sets me apart from others in this industry is the creativity I bring to my work and the passion I have.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I have been extremely lucky to have had the amazing opportunity to work alongside some fantastic musicians and photographers. (knock on wood) I hope to continue to have good luck and to make my company the best that it can be.
