Meet Dixayla Rogers

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dixayla Rogers.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Dixayla. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I have loved being in front of the camera since I was a young girl. There is a ton of boxes containing photos of me taken by my mother and grandparents. Growing up I watched icons like Tyra Banks and Naomi Campbell, who do nothing but inspire me still today. It was in 2016 that I began taking modeling more serious by setting up shoots, working with brands and getting online publications both locally in Denver and in Los Angeles, California.

My network continued to grow. I joined The High Country Girls and got involved with hosting events, concerts, and clubs. I also expanded into doing music and promo videos. Fast forward to 2018, I decided to finally jump into runway fashion. I’ve had the pleasure of hosting Denver Fashion Week and participating in the following shows: Unique Week of Fashion, The World is Ours, The Colorado Tattoo Convention, The Taste of Brooklyn, Mile High Urban Fashion x Music Showcase and the Xpressions Fall Fashion Show.

One of my most meaningful moments thus far for me was receiving my first Magazine publication with Defined Magazine in their Women Entrepreneurship Edition. That being said, I am blessed to have worked with some phenomenal and creative designers, brands, models, photographers, artists and people in general. As time continues to progress, I continue to evolve, learn, create and execute in everything I do. I am blessed to be where I am today.

Has it been a smooth road?
My journey has been contained it’s a fair share of ups, downs, lefts and rights. Today, I look back and think about how much has happened in such a “short” time. To answer your question no, my road has not been smooth and with that being said I am happy about that because I know it makes me stronger in the end. It fuels my fire.

Throughout my path, I have fallen out with some of the closest people to my heart, including my mom (whom I love and appreciate more than anything in the world), friendships fell off-track including one with someone I was close to for over ten years. Being independent and doing everything on your own isn’t always going to be easy and that is okay. I have moved away from all my friends and everything I had known up to that point. I have actually moved homes several times. Finding stability is important but not undemanding or trouble-free. I have been told “no” countless times, I have people who have never met me try to blackball me, I mean really the list goes on. I am blessed to have experienced what I have throughout my journey thus far the good, the bad and the ugly. Like I said it fuels my fire.

Please tell us about your business.
My brand is me, Dixayla Fallon Rogers. I am a Public Figure, who specializes in print and runway modeling, music videos, hosting (events, concerts, bars/clubs) and on-camera work. I am known for bringing my bright, outgoing and creative personality to everything I do. I am also known for getting the job done I am hardworking, dedicated and like to execute whatever the task at hand is.

I am most proud of being myself, unapologetically. Life is too short to conform to what everybody else is thinking or even saying about you. I believe keeping my faith, manifesting, working hard and staying dedicated will continue to push me to evolve. What sets me aside from others is that I keep myself as my only competition, I push myself to be bigger and better, in all aspects of my life. Yes, the industry is cutthroat but trust I won’t ever allow a “no” to stop me or alter my mind. I know in my heart that I have a purpose, and that alone guides me daily.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I see the entertainment industry changing dramatically over the next five to ten years. I say this because, In my opinion, trends change daily people are always finding something new to like or try which encourages the next person to do the same. I think in five to ten years, personally my style will advance, as well as my mindset. Therefore the things I think are trendy now will be completely different from what they at this moment. Honestly, my style approach and interests change daily, monthly, yearly. As far as big shifts, I think eventually I will move out of Colorado, it will always be my home but I think life is too short to stay stagnant. There will be a lot to look forward too with me, I have a lot underway right now.
