Meet Eliza Stephen of Natura Sophia Living Lineage at Mermaid Temple of the Womb

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eliza Stephen.

Eliza, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Living curiously began in my first memories. Within the womb, I remember cheering on my birth mother as she grew the courage, and found the support to birth me. I was adopted a few days from birth with wide inner eyes taking in everything. I told myself how I must remember this, and continued to stay connected to that ‘in-between’ world as I grew up as an only child with a loving family. My most faithful bonds formed with Spirit, the forest, animals, and reflections of moonlight on the lake.

I am grateful that my parents trusted my wisdom as a child and did not stifle my innate knowing; however, coming-to-age was quite difficult as I learned to navigate the murky waters of ancient remembrance and modern times.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Struggles began with social expectations of how to be accepted, approved of, and act the “right” way. I enjoyed going to school to be with friends, but was routinely uninspired with the material. My mother taught me from a young age to question authority and fight for what I believe in, and I did. I found my own way through the system. I did my school work when I wanted to, and mostly studied what I wanted. I made up my own lessons even throughout grad school. I recognize the privilege I had to do that, and I am not taking it for granted one bit. In high school, I began to understand how others do not have that freedom, and I became outraged. I started to feel the responsibilities of privilege and supporting the empowerment of all. I began in the mental health sector since it is where I found myself as I continued to struggle with being OK and ‘pretending’ in the current mass-sickness of society.

Please tell us about Natura Sophia Living Lineage at Mermaid Temple of the Womb.
My business started as Rise & Shine, Love! With making healing teas from oracle readings. I grew up in the woods as a sensitive little one, and I developed an intelligent intimate relationship with the plant realm. The herbal medicine I provide is the plant material but more so the teaching of how to connect and communicate with the plants as teachers. I was living between Peru and Denver at that time, and in 2015, I was called to plant my family roots just outside of Denver in Nederland. From here, I am able to offer much more depth through in-person work, and through extended time. My home evolved into my business and soul offering: Mermaid Temple of the Womb.

I founded the Mermaid Temple while continually inspired from my personal shamanic womb journeys, which began at birth, and really crystallized in my warm saltwater pool here in Nederland. As I descended into the Earth through my womb more consciously, and with a purpose to merge with the divine, I remembered the ancient Natura Sophia Living Lineage. There is no guru at the Mermaid Temple or within Natura Sophia. It is about incorporating each woman who tends to the Temple as a Priestess. We foster sovereignty, kinship, and integral skills of a high mystic sisterhood with a family-led shamanic birthing process as our equal devotion.

Natura Sophia weaves in seamlessly with the Mermaid Temple, bringing forward the plants as our teachers, we are learning how to merge with their frequency, sing their songs into our bodies, and embody the wisdom of our ancient ancestors. Natura Sophia works without intention other than continuous sacred union with ourselves as Divine. Our connection to Source is all we need, and we trust in the spontaneous intelligence of sacred union: the merging of multiple unique threads with Source.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
We all heal or no one does. Success is everyday that I am humbled in feeling love and being love, held by the Earth with my family and friends support. Successful is when I am offering them the same in reciprocity. I am here for true intimate relationships, and navigating whatever arises in sovereign union. I am not here to prove anything, and neither is the Mermaid Temple or Natura Sophia Living Lineage. Ease, grace, prayer, water, plants, and laughter.
