Meet Emina Spahic of Golden Graze Boxes

Hi Emina, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory
I’ve grown up eating mezze and making them for my family here and there, as well as charcuterie boards for my boyfriend. And I’ve always loved grazing as opposed to eating the traditional meal. Moving to Golden was what truly inspired me to create a business out of it, though, in conjunction with the pandemic. I thought it’d be a good idea to have the essence of charcuterie-style feasting (with a little more variety,) but in portable boxes for various amounts of people, that are also easier to keep to yourself or keep hands out of if you wish. But again, our whole theme is “Golden,” like with the sunflowers, ribbon on packaging, color scheme… because moving there, and to CO as a whole really, brought out a new sense of passion and creativity in me and I hope to convey that in each uniquely personalized graze box.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as relatively smooth road?
It’s been a mostly smooth road so far aside from having just moved to Colorado in March, as well as navigating through business legal and mathematical things. But only because.. ya know.. it’s math. Cheese is a much cooler topic! Though it’s been incredibly fun and challenging but rewarding to learn the ins and outs of every aspect of what I do with Golden Graze Boxes. Most of all, I’m incredibly lucky and blessed to have the support system I have around me, notably my partner, Fred, who is the ultimate hype-man, motivator, and has supported my dream every step of the way.

As you know, we’re big fans of Golden Graze Boxes. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I create customized and themed graze boxes, which are similar to charcuterie boards, only most are more portable with a little more variety than traditional charcuterie. They’re known as Graze Boxes and typically include meats, cheeses, fruits/veg, nuts, dips, olives or pickled items, crackers, sweets, garnish, etc… though I also offer themes such as The Gardener (vegetarian) or The Sweet Tooth (variety of desserts) to name a few. Currently offering 4 main sizes, from a 1-person box up to 10 people, + 2 sizes of Crudites + a few more fun add-ons options. Delivery is available in Golden, Denver, and surrounding areas. These boxes are perfect for any corporate events or lunches, picnics, birthdays, or just a fun change from the everyday meal. I have the most fun personalizing each one and personally delivering them to make peoples day a little more… golden!
