Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabriel Rovick.
Gabriel, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I am Gabriel Rovick, a true Colorado native. Being from Colorado, I have had a strong bond to the outdoors and I have been interested in the visual arts for as long as I can remember. I went to photography school at the Art Institute of Colorado, following my graduation from the Art Institute I apprenticed for the world-famous photographer David LaChapelle. After my apprenticeship, I moved back to Denver and Founded F4D Studio. I was joined shortly after by my business partner Travis Conklin and together, we have built a team of creatives that are masters of their craft and provide content creation to countless brands and media outlets.
My passion for photography and Cinema combined with the outdoors has taken me deep in the Canadian backcountry, Antarctica, Europe, through Asia and beyond. Some of side notes about me are that I am a licensed sports pilot and I am a creative ambassador for Zeal Optics recently, I started a podcast called Authentic Beings podcast.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Building a business has been exciting, we are constantly evolving. Building a strong culture on our team has always been a priority, we have focused a lot of our energy on having a good work-life balance. We set apart regular time for setting goals and discussing the type of work we want to be creating as a team and for our clients.
F4D Studio had a studio space in The Rino Arts District from 2008 until 2018. As the district grew, the rent continued to increase until the space we were in was no longer economic. At that point, we decided to move our office to Golden to be closer to the outdoors.
Recently one of the biggest struggles we have had to overcome is the Pandemic of Covid-19. Being a very small business, it has been a challenge however, we have been thriving and continue to stay creative. We have been able to keep our entire staff employed, launch over a half dozen client projects, increase our online reach by 30%, and develop content based on giving back to our local community. F4D is currently developing innovative solutions for our clients as we move into the new world of business.
We’d love to hear more about F4D Studio.

The Future looks bright F4D has been working hard to expand the services we offer in the digital marketing world. We have a future length documentary Called “From The Passenger Seat,” an adventure film that explores one man’s exceptional life, a heroic two-year battle with ALS and an epic farewell road trip. The Film is expected to premier at the end of August. Upon the completion of this film, I look forward to cultivating more impactful stories to tell, spending more time exploring the world’s beauty and continuing to document it.
