Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Jane.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Hannah. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
The creative arts have always been extremely important and present in my life. Ever since I was little, my parents provided me creative outlets. I created my first painting when I was three years old and started designing at 8. Once I turned 18, I applied for all the necessary credentials to start my brand Art of Hannah Jane. Through work and dedication, I have grown a brand I believe in and continue to strengthen every day.
Has it been a smooth road?
When it comes to following your dream and designing a life you love the path tends to feel like a roller coaster. Some days seem progressive and others difficult. When it comes to being an artist it is an extremely vulnerable path. I design from my heart and soul and sometimes it can feel intimidating putting the work out there for the world to judge.
I have also moved myself around the United States wanting to share my brand in many areas and with that, there comes uncertainty – especially when going to places where you don’t know anyone. It’s been a beautiful journey and the challenges have only made me stronger as a brand owner, and my will to keep putting my work out there will never stop. Sometimes you have to take chances to see results.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
My company Art of Hannah Jane is a sustainable artwear brand specializing in streetwear inspired designs. I incorporate both fashions and paint in each piece signifying it as artwear. I am commonly known for the animals I create and represent on each of my designs, specifically the lion.
The main goal with my collections are to respect the environment and create and celebrate the ideals of sustainability and Eco fashion.
With my designs I am creating wearable canvases. Pieces you can deem collectible, that touch and connect to your heart. These designs act as artwear allowing them to forever remain in your closet and hold value. High fashions emotional attributes but with slow fashion values.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Colorado is a great location for businesses to flourish. I especially value Colorado’s desire to share the values of environmental awareness. The culture for creative individuals is definitely alive in this city.
If you are someone just starting out, I would recommend putting the time, effort, and dedication in your dream. It does not happen overnight and it takes your want and will to make it happen. Do what you love and what is important to you, and share with the world why it means so much to you.
