Meet William Owens, Taylor Juniel, Jalen and Jason Thompson II of Rich Mob Tendencies

Today we’d like to introduce you to William Owens, Taylor Juniel, Jalen and Jason Thompson II.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Rich Mob Tendencies started with four family members fresh out of college coming together and wanting to form as many family businesses as possible, Our first business we Founded back in early 2018, RMT4EVA Clothing. With our clothing line, we wanted to build a family-based brand that everyone can relate to, and want to be apart of. Not just with wearing our clothes, but by transferring our message to their lives respectively.

Like any business who is starting from the ground up, we endured all the ups and downs of becoming entrepreneurs essentially on the fly. We have experienced many challenges that many young people in our situation would give it all up. But we firmly believe that because we are a strong family, and because we stand on certain principles, we have managed to keep going and progressing. In result to us not giving up on ourselves and business, we are now in a great position to take our Brand to the next level in such a short period of time.

Has it been a smooth road?
Starting a business from ground zero and maintaining it is never smooth. When we first started RMT, we were learning all the ins and outs of becoming business owners on the fly. We all didn’t go to school for wanting to be business owners. We all were athletes and that’s all we saw ourselves as. So in the process of starting our clothing line, we had to learn how to be entrepreneurs, we had to learn how the game goes without really any guidance or knowledge of what to expect.

So along the way, we made a few mistakes but we managed to stick together and learn from our mistakes. We understand that typically the first five years of owning a business is the hardest. But we understand now that this is a marathon, not a sprint, and we are prepared to be here for the long haul.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Rich Mob Tendencies story. Tell us more about the business.
The essence of Rich Mob Tendencies encompasses diligence and wealth. currency? Sure, however, our idea of Rich is deeper. Money is only a tool to obtain happiness; instead, we aspire affluence in health, spirit, and love. Through our clothing, we promote these values and empower our RMT family to discover our best selves. We believe that you can be Rich in many ways besides finances and possessions. We want to inspire people to be Rich in every aspect of their lives to reach their full potential while they are here.

When you put RMT on that’s what you believe in. What separates us from others is that we are a family-owned minority business. Which is what we are the most proud of as well. It’s truly amazing that no matter how long and far we are apart from each other, we always find our way back together. This time we plan on staying together and make history.

The goals that we have set for ourselves are bigger than just being a clothing brand. We want to help establish a culture identity in Denver. We want to help and give artists of all kind around the state a platform to showcase their talents. We root for the underdogs because that’s who we are. Another goal is to also be active in the community and help the less fortunate as much as possible.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
We envision having a Rich Mob Tendencies flagship store in the heart of Denver. The store will be a family type atmosphere where people can go in and enjoy their selves. We want to make it a point where the consumer can only get our merchandise from our website or our store.

At the same time, we want to change our store after hours into a place where artists can showcase their talents. Whether it be poetry night, comedy night, any genre artist performing, etc. We want the RMT store to be an established brand that represents Denver and all the people who take pride in being from here.
