Meet Janet Dybek

Today we’d like to introduce you to Janet Dybek.

Janet, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
It all started for me around August of 2018. That’s when I took over running top_denver_restaurants Instagram account. Since then, I’ve been awake when my audience is awake. I made it my business to know what they want to see and when. I have grown my followers from a base of 11,000 to 26,000+ as of today. My followers Although I have always been a storyteller and I love sharing what I did, where I went and how. That was on Yelp. I’ve been sharing on yelp for over 12 years. I was recently given A lifetime Achievement Award! Totally blindsided!

Has it been a smooth road?
It has been a bit bumpy but nothing major. The learning curve is always present for any new undertaking. But it’s been so much fun! Food, finding new friendships and finding fresh content for my Instagram page.

Top_city_bites or top_denver_restaurants specializes in top-notch curated food in your city. I love assisting local businesses out there achieve their goal. Whether to direct attention to their opening day or a new menu, I’m there.

I think what sets me apart from others is because my intention is never to bash a business on my account. I will though would make sure that I take photographs of dishes presented to me in the best possible way. I love taking photos of food. It’s a work of art and the chef is the artist that deserves recognition.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Instagram is here to stay IMHO. Although I see it being utilized with another platform. Policing accounts to make it fair for everybody is not bad, especially if that someone continues to have the edge over someone. But then have you wondered even for a second bout freedom? That, I don’t want to be policed.
