Hi JC, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
KICH Radio was founded in 2012 by Mrs. Andrea Montoya Mitchell aka Dj Foe Real of The I.C.H Women’s Empowerment Group a not for profit organization built to support victims and families of Domestic Violence as a former DJ at a local Denver based radio station ( That shall remain unnamed) that was inappropriately sexually harassed via unwanted inappropriate advances on a frequent basis, and saw the degree of disrespect and lack of support not only women but the local musicians received. She decided that she would take matters into her own hands and start a new radio station that focused on positivity, truth and acceptance that catered not only to the high and mighty but to the everyday consumer, she decided to call upon the knowledge, popularity, vocal prowess and entertainment connections of her son J.Sizzle Fo Rizzle, together they built a modest internet based Hip Hop Radio Station, Internet based out of necessity as it is and was impossible to garner an FCC regulated FM License in the state of Colorado,
Although at the time internet aka non terrestrial non FM radio was a relatively new and unknown platform and to a degree amongst the smaller demographics still is.
Together they have seen the relative unknown “Local” station grow into a global powerhouse that boasts No Less Than 150,000 daily listeners Worldwide that reaches both English and non English based listeners in every country globally have employed LIVE Djs spanning the US from Colorado to The Carolina’s, Texas, New Mexico and California We have as of 2015 moved our Home offices to Pueblo, Colorado and claimed it as home to KICH Radio Worldwide and as of 2026 Will Setup a NEW permanent home within the walls of The Odd Fellows Pueblo Lodge #8 keeping the traditions of blessing the community which we call home, we do however continue to bless the home of our founding mother Dj Foe Real and do continue to host live events annually in ALL areas of Colorado we are The #HometownHeroes #TheOddFellows #TheVOICEofPueblo and Continue To Live By Our Founders CODE “Show LOVE Get LOVE” to All Our Listeners Worldwide
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Some of the obstacles that we faced along the way include the same most deal with on starting out how to build a fan base and following from the ground up, and how to overcome the obstacle of building a radio station without the support of the FCC or any of the local terrestrial or AM/FM Radio Stations, and in doing so gaining the trust of sponsors that had to rely on our belief in a relatively unknown format that they were not familiar with, and ownership from a mixed nationality woman in a pre-dominantly white male “GOOD OL BOY” mentality run industry. The one thing that helped us was the unrelenting spirit and tenacity of our matriarch and her inability to take no for an answer, and our belief in GOD a belief that kept us going when doors were slammed on our face, and when we were laughed out of “Press Credentialled” Events and functions for not conforming to the norm and that same belief that kept us motivated to Trust in him and Believe that all would be revealed in time and that through hard work and dedication we would be accepted and flourish which THANKS Be to GOD we have

As the business of KICH Radio we would like to be known for our support of local businesses and community, we also hope to be known for a place where up and coming musicians can be heard and enjoyed amongst their favorite superstars, a place where artists at all levels can feel at home welcomed and free to be themselves, we would like to be recognized as a voice for the voiceless and a platform people look to for there Favorite stars of yesterday, today and tomorrow! We specialize in helping small business to market themselves and grow with packages to suit all income levels, we also specialize in bringing affordable Professional LIVE Djs to company and private events to allow them to shine and feel special with rates that are affordable on any budget, we believe this is one of the things that sets us apart from other stations as we are willing and able to bless the consumers without the major overhead that comes with the other major radio stations in our region, we also employee LOCAL Djs that are familiar with the daily lifestyle and challenges of our communities and can relate to the issues locals face on a daily, monthly, annual basis where as most others are computer generated or cut and paste copies of mass produced global entities
Any big plans?
As for the Immediate future of KICH Radio January 2026 we plan to be into our new permanent home inside the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Pueblo Lodge #8 Building in the heart of Downtown Pueblo, Colorado so that we can better serve our community and local businesses by having a home office that allows for owners to come into our station so that we may conduct LIVE Interviews to showcase their companies, also this allows us a beautiful location to welcome stars of the music industry for LIVE interviews, which in turn affords us the opportunity to showcase The Beauty of our community and offers us a venue to showcase LIVE Entertainment,
We will also continue to attempt to apply for our FCC License so that we may join the ranks of terrestrial AM/FM radio at the local level to allow for those without immediate or constant access to the internet on there vehicles or buildings a means of tuning in and enjoying our programming Other than that we will continue on the path that GOD has sent us on and continue to grow and expand our station.
