Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenece Amella.
Jenece, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
As a child, my father moved us to Japan, where I was introduced to the exciting world of the film and commercial industry. I was thirteen when we moved. What an amazing three years. Once I had the taste of the industry, I knew this would be the direction I would take for my future. When we came back to Colorado, my sister opened up a modeling agency and I was her partner. Most of my on-camera gigs were in Japan. I booked a few in Colorado and had a chance to do my own fashion show segments for one of the local news stations. I field produced, wrote, edited and reported the latest fashion trends. I loved creating the pieces that aired. I soon realized that I had a place behind the scenes. I evolved into a hair, makeup and wardrobe stylist which has allowed me to be creative and implement all of my experiences and skills I learned along the way.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The roads have never been smooth. What’s the fun in that? Just kidding. I had my fair share of experiences. They all kind of blend. Rejection, false hope and disappointment led to self-doubt, but in the end, there was a message… Keep pushing and believe in yourself. Surround yourself with people who love and support you. Take their strengths and implement them into your lifestyle. Keep striving to be the best and never give up!
We’d love to hear more about your work.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
As a young girl, I remember visiting with my friends and going through their closets and putting outfits together. Looking back, some of those outfits were pretty fun and crazy!
