Meet Jerry, Randy, Scott and Randall Fishburn, Jr. of Legends Rock Bar

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jerry, Randy, Scott and Randall Fishburn, Jr.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
In 1986, Jerry Fishburn bought the business as a pool hall with eight pool tables known as The Golden Cue, where the best pool players in town would come to play. Four years later in 1990, Jerry turned The Golden Cue into a Gentleman’s Club named Jerry’s McNasty’s. Jerry would go on to change the name to Jerry’s Lounge Club 56 and would be In business until the early 2000’s.

After renovations in early 2014, our family re-opened the business in October of 2014, now known as Legends Rock Bar. During renovations, we completely changed the look of the inside of the bar, as well as made it a family-friendly location for Bands, Pool Leagues, Karaoke, and more. Since our reopening, we’ve strived to become the best all-around location in town.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
In our 30+ years of being in business, we’re thankful to say we haven’t had any notable struggles along the way.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Since our reopening, we’ve been motivated to be the best all-around bar in town. We take pride in having something for everybody – Whether that be Live Music, Pool Leagues, Karaoke, or just a relaxing environment to get some food & drinks with friends.

In recent years, we’ve grown tremendously in the world of Live Music. The Legends Team and Slam Pro Productions have been consistently upgrading our Live Music presence – from a brand new stage to software-controlled lighting and a state of the art sound system, we’re pleased to be a part of the Colorado Springs Music Scene, having Live Music weekly.

Since November of 2015, we’ve featured Karaoke Nights multiple times a week. Third Leg Entertainment has helped us in becoming “The Spot” for karaoke Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday Nights. Our singers enjoy getting the full Rockstar experience – Singing from the band stage overlooking the crowd!

As a bar, we are proud of our drink specials and food selection. We are known for having one of the best bar food selections in town! Customer favorites include our Wings, Gizzards, Rocky Mountain Oysters, Mac N’ Jack Cheese Bites, and Funnel Cake Fries, just to name a few. We offer Happy Hour weekdays 2-6 pm, and all day and night on Wednesdays.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
A lesson we quickly learned is the importance of Social Media and using it effectively. Social Media has allowed us to reach a lot of people we otherwise wouldn’t have been able to! Like many businesses, Social Media is now the main medium in which we attract new customers.
