Meet Jes Davis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jes Davis.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Jes. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I have always had a passion and vision for all things beauty. Since I was 13, I was doing friends’ and sisters’ hair and makeup for school dances – I loved how helping women look and feel their best could positively impact their confidence.

I went on to study and carry a professional career in hairstyling & makeup artistry and have enjoyed running my own salon & freelance business in beauty!

A few years ago It was a blessing to come across Senegence International founder of LipSense which has allowed me to fulfill my dream of taking care of my family AND passion of helping women feel beautiful and confident in their own skin! In 3 short years I have been able to help over 2000 women start a home-based business & my team has accomplished over 14 million dollars in sales. It’s an honor to hold one of the highest ranks to date in the company & my mission is to empower women from the inside out!

My husband and I also have a passion for home design. My husband Luke has an insane eye for designing and building space! More specifically custom homes! I’m the creative brain, he’s the logical brain, he has this amazing eye for design. Together we have designed multiple homes that he has built from the ground up. I get to dive in & use my design skills to decorate! Together we have done this a few times as investments to better our future & show our children that hard work takes time, and thought but also pays off. We want to teach them that work ethic equals success!

We have both had great success and great failures in our business, but we love working together to collaborate on ideas!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I don’t believe success can ever truly be success without some failures! There were many years that I worked until after my kids went to bed & part of the day I was paying a babysitter to watch my kids and drive them around so I could build my business & make ends meet, Luke, my husband would come home from his strenuous job to take care of the kids so I could build my business. Years following that I stayed home at night so Luke could work on the custom homes we were building.

He would work his normal 7-5 job then go to the custom home we were building from 5 to midnight sometimes 1 or 2 in the morning. But through the long hours of work & building two businesses & 3 children we just knew it would pay off! We were exhausted most of the time, some times living paycheck to paycheck but we made it work! I remember my daughter who was three at the time calling the place we lived “mommy’s apartment” because my husband was always at the job site she hardly saw him at the apartment we were living in as she was asleep when he got home! She called it “daddy’s Land” where we would go to visit him every night for dinner as he was building our custom home! There are always trials and tribulations when building a career & success! You have to fail here & there. Most importantly, it’s how you pick yourself back up to keep going.

I am a hairstylist and makeup artist and also sell a line of cosmetics & skincare by SeneGence International. I also continuously help build a team of women who do the same thing! I love helping women feel beautiful and confident. I am most definitely proud of being able to empower women & help them build their own career in the beauty industry, to know their worth & to help them realize that along with being a busy women in a career, a mom, a wife, that you can still make an impact on people and make your mark!

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I had to start over in my career, I would have started with more confidence!
