Meet Juniper Jane Manchon of Juniper Moon Healing Arts in Boulder and Englewood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Juniper Jane Manchon.

Juniper, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Hello friends – I am a Reiki Master Teacher, Breathwork Facilitator, and Wise Womb Medicine Practitioner. My practice combines my studies and experiences with energy work, massage, yoga, psychology, tantra, meditation, shamanism, and heart-centered relating. My understanding of healing is informed through personal experiences with bodywork, movement, sound healing, ceremony, plant medicines, the natural world, past life regression, soul retrieval, hypnosis, shadow work, and ancestral lineage clearing.

I have journeyed across the world and deep within my own being. I do this work because I love it. I do this work because I recognize its power to transform not only my clients and myself but the world. Although I was lucky to first begin my yoga and meditation practice at 18, I only began to truly understand the connection between mind and body at the age of 23. My focus on politics and world atrocities, and my tendency toward anger, delivered a wake-up call from the Universe—a liver biopsy. From there, I made big moves to change my life. I began studying Reiki in 2013 and shortly after, in January 2014, I left for India, where my un-winding and re-wilding truly began.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has been a winding road. One has to go through the beginner stage before becoming a comfortable and confident practitioner and teacher. I struggled in this stage of wanting to be in the future. And now–here I am. Seven years later from working with my first-person one-on-one in the healing arts.

I’ve been a healer my whole life but wouldn’t have called myself that. “Healer” however isn’t a job you write when they ask what you want to be when you grow up. I had a rather academic start to life. I attended Vassar College and, after graduation, taught within the Fulbright Program. My studies in globalization and culture, while mind-expanding, did not leave me with a clear career path. Eventually, I went to a trade school (for massage)–I was really attracted to having practical real-world skills with an obvious application.

Our culture does not tend to support and nourish the unique gifts of individuals. There was no “village healer” to turn to for advice. It’s been a journey to find quality mentors to help walk this path with integrity and authenticity.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
I offer Reiki training, Transformational Breathwork journeys, and one-on-one healing sessions in person and remotely. I specialize in energetic/emotional clearing and abdominal massage. My favorite sessions to offer are Wise Womb Medicine sessions. They help people return to the truth of their own inner knowing. Clients leave feeling more grounded and centered, more in their bodies.

I work with a variety of shamanic tools, weaving sacred traditions handed down by my teachers to treat the whole person—the physical, the mental, the emotional, and the spiritual.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is a healthy relationship with self and with others. It is living in the right relationship with the earth, her creatures, and all our helping tools and guides. I find success in clarity, in alignment, and in faith that the next step is what’s meant to come for the next one.
