Meet Kaelon Scott

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kaelon Scott.

Kaelon, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
After joining a fraternity in college (Alpha Phi Alpha), I picked up djing skills from one of the older brothers. I liked it enough to buy my own gear and started throwing house parties. Eventually, I was able to branch out and other students and staff hired me. It helped pay for part of my college. After graduating from the University of Arkansas, I moved out to Colorado for a corporate job, and I’ve been djing on the side since.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
After finally gaining momentum in the business in Arkansas, it was stopped when I moved to Colorado. I had to start over and try getting my name out again.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
I’m a club and mobile DJ. I’ve done a wide variety of genres, but I generally focus on Hip-Hop, R&B and Pop. Most people recognize me by my fro, but they love the vibes I layout with my music. I have a genuine love for the business and I don’t see myself slowing down anytime soon.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I had to start over, I’d do everything the exact same. I have no regrets. I’ve had failures and successes that I’ve learned from and I think everything has given me the experience to become what I am today.
