Meet Katie Fermin of Core3 Drywall in Castle Rock

Today we’d like to introduce you to Katie Fermin.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Katie. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Well, after being a stay at home mom to my four boys for over eight years, I decided it was time to get back to work. I started in general construction, and then quickly found that my true love is drywall. I founded C3 in the summer of 2018, and have worked tirelessly to build my business and serve my customers since then.

Has it been a smooth road?
Building a business from nothing has its own set of unique challenges. Entrepreneurs are a different breed of people. We are fearless by nature, and persistent as hell. If we didn’t have that driving force and spirit, nothing great would ever be accomplished, because this is a very hard road to travel. Most people give up at the first sign of difficulty. But lucky for me, I’m stubborn and unwilling to accept failure, so I always find a way to make things happen. One of my favorite motivational sayings is, “Win or learn, I never lose. I will succeed, maybe not immediately, but absolutely and definitely.” When days are tough, I remind myself that my purpose is greater than the hardships of this day.

Core3 Drywall – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Core3 specializes is all areas of drywall. We will take care of the smallest of patches and repairs to entire basement builds, garage finishes and even full-blown remodels. We are a full-service business that provides everything to get the project done from start to finish. We have a wonderful team of people who have decades of experience in repairs, hanging, finishing and texture. We can do all different types of texture and matching, including custom texture. What makes C3 special is our customer service and attention to detail. Once you bring us aboard, we will ensure that your project, big or small, is completed in its entirety, and that it is a job well done.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I am a big fan of the state of Colorado! I’m often taken aback by the beauty that surrounds me. I spend much of my time in my truck driving between jobs, meeting with customers, and being on-site with my crews. Because I’m always on the road, I am fortunate to be able to enjoy the gorgeous mountain views and take in all the beauty around me. If there’s one thing I don’t like about living in this city, it’s all the construction. I’m pretty sure that would be most people gripe though. But, I choose my battles and try not to let it bother me too much.
