Crystal, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started my business in 2013. In my mind failure wasn’t even an option. I did everything from flyer car windows with promotional pieces, to go to local businesses to introduce myself, networking events, etc. you name it, most likely I tried it. I quickly built my business by providing exceptional work with attention to detail, excellent customer service and always going above and beyond. I still do these things today. It’s what has set me apart from my competition and earned me the excellent reputation I’m so grateful to have today.

Has it been a smooth road?
The beauty business is a competitive business. I have certainly had my fair share of hiccups and learning curves along the way. I’ve made a few poor marketing choices that have cost me upwards of $20,000 with little return on my investment, I’ve had employees that I trusted steal from me and I’ve had to restructure my business when things weren’t working. But in all those struggles I’ve learned a lot about myself and my business. And with that, we continue to grow and thrive daily. So, I can’t say I’m upset that these things happened because I’m a better business owner due to these struggles.

Laguna Med Spa specializes in advanced skin treatments, Botox and Injectables and Permanent cosmetic and paramedical tattoos. For those of you who don’t know what cosmetic tattoos are, they are permanent makeup in the form of eyebrows, eyeliner and lip color. Paramedical tattoos are most often for breast cancer survivors who have lost their breasts or have had them reconstructed. We tattoo a realistic, three dimensional Areola and nipple.

This technique is tattooing thousands of tiny dots to create what replicates hair follicles. This helps create a shadow on the scalp to give the look of a buzz hair cut for balding men or creates fullness for thinning hair.
