Meet Larry Legend

Today we’d like to introduce you to Larry Legend.

Larry, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I am a local recording artist by the name of Larry Legend. I started back in 2013 where I Didn’t think I would take it so serious. While years are changing I continued to work on and better my craft. In 2018 I released my debut album “Who’s Next” where I was exemplifying my versatility. 2018 came and while I was still perfecting my craft I was offered a distribution/marketing deal with Independent label, Bentley Records who are distributed by Warner Music Singapore which I ended up releasing my first label album “Legend’s Chronicles”. In progress of my upcoming album “Sapphire” which is a new dimension on how I see life, where anything is possible and creativity is encouraged.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The road started smooth, I started seeing things panning out and starting to go the way I pictured. After awhile It seemed Like I hit a detour and everything started slowing up from not getting enough shows, putting records out months apart, a drop in views. I plan to create Sapphire an album that puts my listeners in the dimension that I was in when creating this project.

Can you give our readers some background on your music?
I am a songwriter, recorder, producer and my own manager. I been proud to see all the progress I made by myself. I look at myself as a unique artist because when I’m writing I don’t just write I create the song in my head then I write the words. I idolize Chris Brown and try to understand his method and to what did he do to be where he is at vs I just wanna record and put music out to say I’m an artist, I want to be bigger than artist.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
My family is my biggest fan as well as my two-year-old son, Jeremiah Reed. I love making music and to see the smiles on my family’s face when they hear my songs are so refreshing. Crazy as it sounds if I have a song and my son isn’t dancing to It ill Go back and rewrite or re-record till he’s moving to my song. He’s the reason most of my songs can sound catchy and have a beautiful melody
