Meet Sarah Baer of Little Bear Boutique in Castle Pines

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Baer.

Sarah Baer, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
As a mother and hairstylist, I have always had a passion for making others feel great about themselves at a price they can afford. When my family and I would vacation at our favorite spots, from Breckenridge, CO to San Diego, CA, I absolutely loved shopping at unique, small boutique clothing shoppes.  I would find one off clothing that is not typically available in your large retailer department store and was designed by small clothing designers that were passionate about creating high quality products that blended comfort with the latest trends.

I started looking into supporting local, small boutique clothing designers that I could partner with to be able to expose their stylish, unique designs to my friends and family at a cost that wouldn’t hurt the bank account.

Originally the business was started so that I could find one-off designs for myself and my friends, and it ended up growing into something much bigger through organic word of mouth growth. I have been able to cultivate a social media community through social media sites on Facebook and Instagram.  Little Bear Boutique makes the buying process very simple, efficient and cost-effective through my website and by offering free shipping.

Has it been a smooth road?
Not sure if it is really a struggle, but as I have been growing the business, I have had the opportunity to upgrade my business platform through my online website to social media sites to try and assure that overall customer experience keeps getting better.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
I think what makes Little Bear Boutique special and gives us a competitive edge, is that each item is handpicked for my storefront by looking for one of a kind, comfortable, stylish designs primarily for the on the go lady. I think when women can look great, but more importantly feel great wearing it, they are able to truly sparkle while feeling confident all at the same time.

I have been able to cultivate a community in my social media sites where my customers can interact with clothing, trends and or fun topics/games. My business started out as a hobby, where I wanted to find unique, trendy clothing and have fun doing it. This, of course, grew organically through word of mouth, where friends of friends, family of family, wanted to be invited to the Facebook group to participate and buy awesome clothing at a great price.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Absolutely, living down in Castle Pines/Douglas County Colorado, I am surrounded by women that want to look great but are typically on the move and need to feel comfortable.  I am so honored and thankful to have a special group of ladies to be apart of Little Bear Boutique.
