
Today we’d like to introduce you to Debbie Siebers.
Debbie, before we jump into specific questions about your company, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I grew up in a small town in Wisconsin and was a quite athletic teenager with very poor eating habits. Upon graduating from high school, not being taught how to control my impulses, I developed a compulsive overeating disorder and gained 40 lbs. I joined Weight Watchers when I was 19-24, lost the weight and became a personal trainer in LA which led me to a position working for Body-by-Jake, trainer to the Stars. At 40 years old, Beachbody hired me to develop their first exercise program with Tony Horton. With that success, he contacted me to develop my exercise program, Slimin6, which aired through my TV infomercials over 17 years, made over $250,000,000 and went International. Through developing that program, an advanced program and taking test groups through it for six weeks, I had to over train my body and developed certain limitations.
At 53, Beachbody hired me to develop a beginning low impact program but couldn’t pull the trigger. With my royalties dwindling, I moved to Denver six years ago and decided to roll the dice, take money out of my savings, and create it myself. I hired a production team here in Den er, found a studio, cast the people in the background who took my classes here in Denver, developed the routines, directed, produced and created Body Dynamix. It is targeted for the baby boomers, true beginners, people who have limitations and anyone who wants joint-friendly workouts. That’s when my partner showed up and we co-founded Livati. Through his expertise and our marketing team, my program did well enough to afford us to hire a top notch production team in LA, fly them here to shoot my second Body Dynamix Program. Currently, we shot a two minute infomercial at Garlic Media Group to hopefully take our Company to the next level. It’s been a long journey with many sacrifices and our vision is to get my programs in the hands of anyone who needs it by increasing our visibility.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I have had many struggles and obstacles along the way. First, Beachbody contracting me to develop my beginning program and not following through. Several missed opportunities due to my non-compete clause with Beachbody, which I was finally able to get removed when I moved to Denver. My business partner and I struck up a deal with IdealShape for me to become an ambassador for the Company and they would cross-promote Body Dynamix, which never happened. We also working with Natren Probiotics to expand our Wellness Company with supplements. That also fell through. Many investors who expressed interest did not end up committing. All of our orders have been thru our Facebook ads, which is going through some transitions and affecting our sales.
Tell us about your company. What do you do, what do you specialize in, what are you known for, etc. What are you most proud of as a company? What sets you apart from others?
Our Health and Wellness Company, Livati, is mainly for the 50+ consumer. We are best known for my Body Dynamix Programs that include low impact cardio, balance and agility, mobility drills, basic strengthening workouts, mat routine for bone health and healing and restorative routines, including easy chair yoga. I am most proud that I created this all on my own. Because I knew there was a need from all the requests I received over the years and had such a passion for offering easier and kinder workouts due to my limitations, we have received so many incredible testimonials. What sets us apart from others is first my extensive experience and reputation in the fitness world as well as offering specific workouts and routines for people who just cannot do the high intensity workouts but still want to be active.

The co-founder of Livati and my business partner, Fadi Sayegh. He is the finance and marketing genius behind our Company as he use to work for Beachbody as part of their acquisition team that got them to be a billion dollar company. My cheerleaders have been the people I cast to be in the background of my videos who walked with me through my journey. They took my classes at Pura Vida and Cherry Creek Athletic Club. Also, my dear friends Tamara Banks, Lori Frisher, Karli McQueen, Kerry Gordy and Marci Winters who have always built me up and believed in me even when I didn’t believe in myself.
