Meet Megan Bennett and Geno Anaya of Amazing Tasty Eats in Downtown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Megan Bennett and Geno Anaya.

Megan and Geno, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
In 2017, originally name MGJS Burgers, our food truck hit the road partnering with local breweries and participating in festivals around the Denver area. 2018 brought some ownership changes along with a new name and concept which is now Amazing Tasty Eats. The new image allowed us to expand and move forward in new avenues, such as catering. Now in 2020, we have an extensive catering side along while still providing fun and creative menus off of the food truck.

Has it been a smooth road?
Definitely not a smooth road, from the beginning we, unfortunately, ran into many issues with getting the truck built and fabricated in a timely manner. We then were faced only six months into business with a decision to part ways with a partner. This then started the whole rebrand of Amazing Tasty Eats.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Amazing Tasty Eats story. Tell us more about the business.
ATE is a collective partnership between Chef Megan Bennett and culinary enthusiast Geno Anaya. The food truck specializes in classic street food that we can put our own ATE twist on. The catering side is a fun outlet for us to be creative and dip into many international cuisines. We believe in scratch cooking, personal touch and making every bite a memorable pop of flavor. We are proud that after 2.5 years in business, we are continually and becoming a trusted brand in the Denver culinary food scene.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
We see the food truck scene increasingly grow my leaps and bounds everyday. I think we will see many new brick and mortars pop up that were originally started as food trucks. On the catering side, we continually see the growth of many companies investing in their employees’ satisfaction by providing lunch daily and using caterings to bring up moral.
