Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Acuna ILL Se7en.
Tribal Zyphers is an organization that was started by Hip-Hop artist Enough Francisco Garcia, David Fat Trak Lee and Michael ILL Se7en Acuna as a rites of passage to empower narrative through creation.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Our Journey came about naturally. We all were all educators who utilized hip hop to teach empowerment through creation utilizing the elements to rewrite narrative.
Please tell us about Tribal Zyphers.
Tribal Zyphers (is a creative mentor empowerment program) ran by artists and advocates that work with youth/ young adults who are at-risk, giving them creative outlets to express emotions and explore Self-identity. We believe in utilizing art as a mentor tool to teach world culture transforming perspective. We engage community through the elements of Hip Hop, Mindset and indigenous culture as a rite of passage, teaching them the importance of connecting to community entrepreneurship and advocacy.
2018 Michael Acuna co-Founder of Tribal Zyphers received a Master Mind Award for the work that Tribal Zyphers has done in the community.
Tribal Zyperhs received an award from Temple of Hip-Hop in 2017 for their communal advocacy and organizing The Hip-Hop appreciation week festivities.
Tribal Zypher/ Michael Acuna received an MBK 25 award from the My brother Keeper initiative founded by President Obama given by Denver’s Mayor Handcok.
Tribal Zyphers ability to connect creation to self-empowerment as a rite of passage utilizing the elements of hip-hop sets them apart from many organizations.
